May. 30th, 2007 02:25 amJesus Christ, I go away for the weekend and fandom explodes.
I think the current state of affairs with the whole deletions thing is somewhat scary, but not surprising, considering the political and cultural climate of this country right now. I can't say I'm not a bit alarmed, considering I've written an incest story, along with several porny fics where the characters are technically underage (though still at least sixteen), but I don't have anything objectionable in my interests, and I'm not locking down this journal at all, not even the fics with the adult content--including the incest one.
I can't really contribute much to the discussion, but I'm definitely going to be watching what's going on.
Talk about my very first con, and the wonderful time I had there, to come later, when I'm not so tired, both physically and with the internet in general.

Oct. 3rd, 2006 03:22 amTHE World is too much with us; late and soon,
Getting and spending, we lay waste our powers:
Little we see in Nature that is ours;
We have given our hearts away, a sordid boon!
This Sea that bares her bosom to the moon,
The winds that will be howling at all hours
And are up-gather'd now like sleeping flowers,
For this, for everything, we are out of tune;
It moves us not.—Great God! I'd rather be
A pagan suckled in a creed outworn,—
So might I, standing on this pleasant lea,
Have glimpses that would make me less forlorn;
Have sight of Proteus rising from the sea;
Or hear old Triton blow his wreathèd horn.
"The World Is Too Much With Us", William Wordsworth
--
I want time to slow down. Just--slow down. Days pass, and pass, and pass, and I just want to grab them and hang on.
*sigh*
