THE World is too much with us; late and soon,
Getting and spending, we lay waste our powers:
Little we see in Nature that is ours;
We have given our hearts away, a sordid boon!
This Sea that bares her bosom to the moon,
The winds that will be howling at all hours
And are up-gather'd now like sleeping flowers,
For this, for everything, we are out of tune;
It moves us not.—Great God! I'd rather be
A pagan suckled in a creed outworn,—
So might I, standing on this pleasant lea,
Have glimpses that would make me less forlorn;
Have sight of Proteus rising from the sea;
Or hear old Triton blow his wreathèd horn.
"The World Is Too Much With Us", William Wordsworth

I want time to slow down. Just--slow down. Days pass, and pass, and pass, and I just want to grab them and hang on.
*sigh*

Date: 2006-10-04 05:39 am (UTC)I tried to call you a couple days ago (closer to your birthday) but my company dropped the call and then my phone died.
So HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY! I just read book 6 again after convincing kyle to read it for the first time (he had forgotten that dumbledore died) so I'm feeling potter crafty. Would you like me to mail you a pretty picture for your awesome day?
Let me know!
