Last day of class of the semester. The next two days are finals, on Saturday I leave for Cardiff, and then on Monday I leave the UK. A lot of the people in my program I've talked to or I've seen on facebook seem to be counting down the days and looking forward to going home, and I'm...rather not. I mean, it'll be nice to be home because there are people there that I miss and living expenses are somewhat cheaper, but I love London. I don't want to leave! XD

I had my last history class in a pub. We were just reviewing so my teacher said we might as well have a drink while doing it. This is one reason I don't want to leave London.

I also wrote some of my Remix longhand in the pub and then in my last class. I'll probably finish it tonight. I'm pretty excited about it. :D

Gordon Brown resigned! And the Tories and LibDems are forming a coalition! This is really interesting to watch, and I'm glad to have been here while something so historical has been happening.

I'm listening right now to the soundtrack from Billy Elliot, which I've seen three times this semester. Just because I loved it that much. Tomorrow I'm going to see Avenue Q, and then Friday I'm gonna see Legally Blonde. That's another thing I'll miss--all the theatre.

Last weekend I was in Oslo, which was awesome, though very expensive. But because of Oslo, I didn't get a chance to watch last week's Bones until this morning. And this one I have an actual reaction for.

Also, in the past couple weeks I've been playing Final Fantasy: Crisis Core. Some thoughts on that as well.

Now I'm going to go play a bit more, then finish Remix.

Today's been a pretty good day. I didn't have to do anything in class besides listen, I'm now offically a Politics and Government minor, there was a gathering of the English department where I got to glee with my professors about the classes I'm taking next semester, I had pizza for dinner, and then I found old Rainbow Brite episodes. Rainbow Brite! I loved that so much when I was a kid. XD

Also, [livejournal.com profile] shinyopals and I are apparently going to cowrite something in her Fourteen-verse. I'm excited! I've never cowritten anything before, and I've always wanted to.

I'm completely updated on Bones now, so I suppose I'll just have to keep watching along with everyone else now. Next up in my Netflix queue is due South, and since [livejournal.com profile] ariastar has been raving about it recently, I'm looking forward to that.

I think right now, though, I'm going to go watch more Rainbow Brite. Hello, my childhood. :D

Today was Younger Sister's last day with me--just dropped her off at the airport. We went to Seattle, and it was quite fun. Walked around the Waterfront and Pike's Place Market, then rode the Monorail to Seattle Center, where we went to the Experience Music Project and Science Fiction Museum.

I did like both of those, but the Science Fiction Museum disappointed me. There was ONE reference to Doctor Who, on a timeline--a small picture of Four surrounded by Daleks in the '70s section. That was IT for Doctor Who. There was plenty of Star Trek and Star Wars and Ursula Le Guin and other books and movies, and there was even some anime so it wasn't confined completely to American stuff (just mostly), but I was disappointed. DW is quintessential sci-fi, and shows exactly how the genre has evolved over the past forty-five years. Surely that's important enough for a better display in the museum?

*sigh* Apparently not. Bloody American ethnocentrism.

We had dinner at The Cheesecake Factory. And I took dessert home, so now I have cheesecake. Complete win. :D

But also, I was supposed to get three discs of Bones today from Netflix. Except when I checked my mailbox after I got home, there was no Bones! I was very sad. Now I'm going to have to eat my cheesecake and mourn not getting more Bones until tomorrow. :(

Happy St. Patrick's Day! I am not getting drunk. :p

Went to see my dentist yesterday, and it turns out that I do not have TMJ. Whew! Big relief. Whatever happened two weeks ago was most likely just the incipient ear infection, I suppose. Still, I did get a mouth guard, just in case the pain comes back at some point, but my dentist says I don't need to wear it if I'm not in pain.

Hmmm. There are things I could say about my weekend and the convention I went to, but I don't really feel like it. I am so boring lately. *sigh*

Though on the other hand, I am getting really into Bones. Not along the lines of my big fandoms (Harry Potter, Star Wars, and Doctor Who), but more like my smaller ones, like X-Files and West Wing. I have no urge to write fic for it, and little urge to read fic for it, but I really want to watch more of it. Netflix, hurry up! XD

I am home. Yay, home! No classes for a week, no roommate and snoring...

And yay for internet! My computer decided that it didn't like the wifi at the hotel I stayed at in Spokane, so I had little to no internet all weekend. This was very sad. But I did a bit more writing, and am motivated to continue on that particular fic, so that's good.

Also, I have been watching more Bones. And I just watched an episode where Brennan compared Jesus to a zombie and said that people aren't so scary when you poke them in the eye. WIN.

And Angela and Hodgins are really quite adorable. I am not so much into the Booth/Brennan (or rather, I don't really care), but I am definitely seeing seeds of Guy I Love To See In Love in Hodgins, because, like Josh Lyman and the Doctor, he is SO CUTE about it.

I need icons for this show.
