Save me, please

My little sister got her driver's permit today. *headdesk* And she is going to be an utter nightmare, I know it. I drove her and one of her friends to the movies today, and she was trying to get me to let her drive, never mind that it's ILLEGAL for me to do that, being as I'm under 21, and she's crap at driving (my mom was telling me at dinner that when she and little sister were driving, little sister's cell phone rang and she PUT ON THE BREAKS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET TO ANSWER IT. *FACEPALM* At least it was a residential street with no one on it but her...). Stupid sister. *grumbles*

Question for Diana Duane and Young Wizards fans: Are any books after A Wizard's Holiday out yet? I'm just over halfway through A Wizard Alone, and Holiday is next, and I've been reading these latest five books these past two days (which is why I have no got much writing done >.< even though I've got this BRILLIANT IDEA).

I also now have my book for Japanese, and a parking permit for the UNR campus (have yet to get one for the high school campus, sigh). The permit has a wolf on it. :D And I got a UNR shirt, which also has a wolf on it. I love that UNR's mascot is the Wolf Pack. I will think of Remus whenever I think of it, I'm sure. And my high school's mascot is a dog (huskie to be precise, but whatever). I'm sure I'll think of Sirius whenever I think of that. UNR/RHS = Remus/Sirius. *giggles*

I want to have finished a few of the fics I've got planned by the time I leave for Santa Cruz on Saturday, because I'm not sure if I'll have internet access there--we have to use dial-up, and sometimes the phone number gets wonky and won't work.

Speaking of Santa Cruz--I know a few of you who read this journal live there. My parents have already told me that I've got free rein of the city, and as I've been going there at least once a year since I was born, I know it relatively well. Enough to get to places, and to know where they are on a map. So for any of you that live there--would you like to meet up with me sometime? If you are, please email me (rynne at livejournal dot com works), with your lj username so I know who you are (and please, no one who hasn't friended me already, so I at least know somewhat who you are), and we can figure things out from there. Also post a comment here so that I know you've emailed me--sometimes my email gets wonky.

Hehe. Erm, do you think you have time to beta something for me before you go, dear? I've got...well. I just finished a FAKE fic. I have all of those HP fics that I need to finish, and I wrote FAKE fiction. But it's done, and you said you could beta my FAKE stuff for me, so...how about it? I'm emailing it to you anyway, so you can at least read it before you go - just let me know if you don't have the time to beta it and I'll find another victim volunteer. :D

I want to meet you too! Maybe we can compromise--I come east somewhat and you come west somewhat and we meet somewhere in the middle. Like Texas. A lot of people we know live in Texas...

Have already replied by email, but of course I'll beta it for you! Expect it back sometime before Saturday ends, at least.
