Photoshop: Oops, sorry. You have a Windows 98, and you have to have at least ME to download me. *smug*
Rynne: Dammit!
Photoshop: Oh stop whining. You can upgrade, can't you?
Rynne: *eyes light up* WHY YES I CAN! And if I grab the CD from my parents, that should make things easier...

(several weeks later)

CD: *being elusive*
Rynne: Dammit!
CD: *sneaksneaksneak*
Rynne: Where aaare you, you sorry excuse for an XP CD? Come out come out wherever you are!
CD: *hides*
Rynne: *lazy* I'll find it later.

(several weeks later)

MSPaint: Why no, I won't put text on your icons for you! Don't you just want to kill me?
Rynne: YES
MSPaint: Too bad you're stuck with me then!
Rynne: Dammit!
Rynne's Dad: You still haven't found the CD yet?
Rynne: *pout* No.
Rynne's Dad: *leaves for a minute, comes back* Here. *drops CD on desk*
Rynne: *shoves CD in CD drive* Now work, damn you.
XP CD: You have to disable or uninstall McAfee VirusScan before you can upgrade!
Rynne: ... *disables McAfee VirusScan*
XP CD: You have to disable or uninstall McAfee VirusScan before you can upgrade!

XP CD: Thank you! We will now take seventy-one minutes to look over your software!
Rynne: ... *takes out book*

(thirty minutes later)

XP CD: You are missing something you need to continue upgrading to XP, but we won't tell you what it is!
Rynne: *narrows eyes*
XP CD: Ignoring our previous statement, we are finished! Press "finish" if you would like to restart!
Rynne: ... *presses "finish"*
Computer: *freezes*
Rynne: Dammit! *ctrl alt delete*
Computer: *restarts*
Rynne: *sigh of relief*
Computer: We think you may have bad clusters! Please wait two and a half hours while we check.
Rynne: *glares* -_-; *takes out book again*

(two and a half hours later)

Computer: Sorry, our mistake, you don't have any bad clusters!
Rynne: ...useless piece of crap...
Computer: Just for that, I'll freeze again! *freezes*
Rynne: Dammit! *restarts*
Computer: *restarts*
Rynne: Good computer...nice computer...now upgrade to XP so I can make my pretty icons...
Computer: *persistently 98*
Rynne: *mutters* Fucktard... *boots up XP CD again*
XP CD: Do you want us to look over your software?
Rynne: NO! You already did that, why are you offering to do it again?
XP CD: We must look over your software or we cannot install!
Rynne: *cries*

*giggles* Not in the least funny, seeing as I've been there done that, but the way you wrote it is simply amusing.

But believe me when I say I understand. I use a freaking ME. I've had to reformat my computer 30+ times in the last year, and during one month, more than 10. I've had important files randomly disappear, and I've had to use MS-Dos to replace them with a downloaded version. I've had to manually edit my registry because of some insane issues. My computer's just as messed up.

And when I tried to upgrade to XP, the same exact thing happened to me. *hugs* I sympathize.

I make all my icons with Bitmap Images. They aren't the most high-tech, but I'm generally satisfied with them. Have you tried that?

Oh, and I LOVE your current icon! Crowley + Aziraphale = sweet slashy love. *grins*

Heh. For more cool Crowley/Aziraphale icons, check out ariastar's icons page. I like the "theirloveissoapocalyptic" one myself *g*. She also has some very nice R/S ones.

Is Bitmap Images something I can download? *is technologically inept*

I'm also a bit technologically inept; I have an ancient computer from 1998 and Bitmap Imaging was on it. *shrugs* Thanks for the link to the icons!

The only thing I can think of right now is LMFAO! Sorry about your computer problems, man, but this made me laugh more than I have within the past two days or so, and I needed it (without it even being a story!) Thanks, though I'm sorry it took your computer troubles to make me laugh like this. :( I'm hoping your computer will stop being stupid. Icon-making is fun.

Ah....welcome to the wonderful world of updating PCs. We updated our 98 to XP but the program broke our computer. Bit stupid. But now we have a lovely, lovely new laptop to enjoy! ^_^ But anyway, the purpose to all update programs is to either break something, lose something, or generally just screw something up. ::sighs::

Aww. I know how it feels to be stuck with Win98 *pokes falling-apart laptop*
...but how come the photoshop trial needs at least ME? I've got full photoshop installed on my rubbishy Win98 comp, and it works fine. *puzzled* Is it a very new version?

Dunno why the trial version needs ME, but I've gone to the website and tried to download all the ones that are new enough to not be complete crap, and they tell me I need ME. *shrug* I just put it down to my computer hating me.

This is soooo true. I remember when I upgraded to XP (Evil computers! It it is a conspericy I swear!) I also remeber when I had ME I also went through the reformating/ defraging all the loverly things that take all day for you computer to do and then about 5 seconds before it is done it says *Oops! I am going to freeze now so you have to start all over again! Evil cackle*
