Today I rewatched Boondock Saints, which I'd been meaning to do since I saw BDS II: All Saints' Day over Thanksgiving break. (All Saints' Day was, actually, a very good movie. Much better than I was expecting from a sequel. I'll definitely want it when it comes out on DVD.)

I have no idea why I like these movies so much. Normally I'm not into excessive violence, overt religious themes tend to make me uncomfortable, vigilantism creeps me out, and so on. Maybe it's just the extremely charismatic cast. I just find myself laughing along with Connor and Murphy with their...rather extreme jokes, and tonight I just wondered why I find that so funny when ordinarily I'd be horrified and/or squicked. Hmmm...oh well. *shrugs*

Yesterday began reading period, and Monday begins finals week. I have a schedule for what I'm doing, and so far I'm actually sticking to it. Yesterday and today I wrote my research paper for History of the English Language, and sent it to my professor so he can give me some feedback and I can make revisions and hopefully get everything fixed up well enough for an A, which I think would give me an overall A for the class. This paper isn't due until Tuesday at 6pm, so I'm very pleased with myself for getting it done this early and giving me plenty of time to get things fixed up.

Over the weekend I'll be working on my Lit and Gender paper, which has to be 10-12 pages (the research paper only had to be at least 6, and ended up 7), so it might carry over onto Monday. That paper isn't due until Friday, but I want to turn it in on Wednesday so I can go home on Thursday. I also definitely want professor feedback on it, which is why I'm getting it done so early--this is another class where I'm hovering between A and A- and if I can get an A on this paper I'm sure I can get an A in the class.

Due on Wednesday is my porfolio of revised poems for my poetry class, but I think that's going to be the easiest thing ever, so I'll do it on Monday or Tuesday, depends on when I finish the Lit and Gender paper. Also on Wednesday is my only actual final test, but I don't think I need heavy studying for that since I've got all my class notes, have done all the reading for that class, and am going to the study session the professor is holding on Monday. He even gave us a study guide, so as long as I know basically what everthing on the study guide is (and I mostly do), I'll be fine. But this class is also on the line between A and A-, so I want to do as well as I can.

I...could concievably get a 4.0 this semester, which I haven't gotten since middle school. Now let's just hope I haven't jinxed it. XD

first of all, good luck with finals! you can do it!!!

secondly - you watched All Saints Day and it didn't destroy everything you cared about the characters you love? I might still have to watch it...

Thanks! :)

It was not a perfect movie and there were some things that annoyed me, but overall...it felt like Boondock Saints, and I really enjoyed it. Of course, I was never fannish about it though, so I might be more lenient than you would. :p Still, I thought it was a pretty good movie.
