rynne: (the tenth doctor)

So David Tennant's not doing S5. I'm pleased.

I love the man, of course. He might be the first actor I've actually cared about, rather than just the character he plays. I love the way he puts everything he has into a role, and I'm so glad that he got to have this role that he loved so much. But I don't think I've ever been attached to him the way I know other people are--if Moffat hadn't been taking over, I still wouldn't have been devastated that DT's moving on. He's a great guy and made a wonderful Doctor, but I never watched this show for him.

I was hoping for this, when Moffat was announced as RTD's successor. I love Ten, and I didn't want Moffat to ruin him any more than he already has, so I'm glad he'll no longer be able to touch him. I have no intention of watching S5, and not even DT staying would have been any incentive. But for the sake of Ten's character, I'm glad he made this decision.

What I will regret is not seeing where the next Doctor goes, now that I don't have to worry about Ten being ruined. Still, there's pretty much nothing that could induce me to watch a Moffat-run Who, so I suppose I'll have to live with that.

I'm still a bit sick, and ridiculously tired, so I'm going to bed now.

I'm very relieved about David not staying on.

I hope you feel better tomorrow. Being sick sucks.

*hugs*

Yes, relieved is definitely another word for it! I'm so glad David got to have this role he loved, but I'm also so glad that he's going to be able to show off more of his repertoire...especially without making me sad that I can't watch him in more DW.

Thanks! I'm feeling better, and I hope it'll go away completely soon! *hugs back*

Big ditto to all of that, of course. But we already know that you and I are freaky mind clones on these sorts of issues!

Yeah, ditto. As attached as I am to Ten, I am deadly curious about Eleven, but my levels of DO NOT WANT exceed my curiosity!

I'm sorry to hear you're still feeling a bit crap, get well soon!

We clearly have some sort of hive mind. :D

Yes. I want to see how Eleven will turn out, but...well, hive mind. :p

I am sad that Moffat's asshattery will prevent me from having seen all eleven Doctors. I suppose we can always get lucky and have Paul Cornell take over before Eleven regenerates, though...
