singin' in the rain

I seriously need to find an icon of Gene Kelly dancing in the rain.

Today I had RDG practice, and at the end was like "Glee, dance". And then it was raining when I came out, so I was like, "Glee, rain". So of course I started humming Singin' in the Rain. XD (Though dude, I would never want to actually tap dance in the rain, walking along an ordinary street. So bad for the shoes.)

AHAHAHAHAHA SOMEONE OUTSIDE MY WINDOW IS ALSO SINGING THAT SONG. THAT IS SO FULL OF WIN.

In other news, omg I am so bad at thinking of plot ideas for original stories. I've got an 8-10 page story due on Monday in my Intro to Writing Fiction class, and I'm not sure what I should write about. Though this week my teacher has been a bit "it's long, you should have started it already", and I think, 8-10 pages double-spaced is 4-5 single-spaced, and that is not long. I think the most I've done in a single day is twelve single-spaced pages, and that wasn't even actually taking the full day. So I've got time to actually write the story, assuming I can think of something to write about. XD

Heh, 4-5 pages? That's like... a few hours. I've done more than that on a work night! XD

(But then, it's not normally an assignment when I write, so I rarely have to worry about quality! XD)

Well, this is an assignment in the sense that it's required, but it's also a draft, and it's a story. It's hard to really objectively grade someone else's fiction. :p

Still, at least it didn't take that long to write!

OMG! I watched Singin' in the Rain on TCM yesterday! lol! That's so cool. I sprinkle inspiration your way... I've been keeping pretty inspired with my art, my biggest problem is finding the time to do anything with my myriad of ideas.
