So, this morning I wake up and think, "Today's going to be a good day! I'm going to get wireless in my room hooked up, so I can finally use my computer again rather than the library ones, and be able to look at not-work/school-safe things just as I become legal to do so!"

Except not. Because apparently, the tech people need someone's computer to work on when hooking up wireless, and mine won't work because they need to be able to have both wired and wireless connections, and my Ethernet port doesn't work. I think, hey, why not use one of my roommates' computers, but no, since neither of my roommates were there, they couldn't work on them, and just getting permission wasn't good enough. And you know, I completely understand why they've got that rule, but it meant that I had to reschedule for two weeks from now, so I'm Not Happy about it. This means another two weeks of having to rely on the library computers and rdgjka.

Not that having wireless would have helped me much, though. After I rescheduled my appointment, I came to use the library's wireless, figuring that at least if I couldn't use my room to go on the internet, I could use my computer. Alas, it wasn't to be. I've got spyware that my spyware program (Spy Sweeper) couldn't get rid of, and it kept hijacking my page, so even though I could go on the internet, I couldn't do anything with it. So I copied MyDocuments onto my memory stick (so at least I can continue working on my papers and fics), and checked my computer into the technical services so they could fix it.

It will be at least two weeks until I get my computer and my internet back, and I am Not Happy about it. Hopefully my birthday tomorrow is better than today is.

ETA: And buggerit, my paid account's expiring soon. Oh well, I'll scrape up the money soon. *sigh*
