Watch me be a memesheep. Last gacked from [livejournal.com profile] thistlerose and [livejournal.com profile] ariastar, it's the first sentences meme.

2004

Yesterday...got a bit insane, to say the least. I am not the only one who doesn't understand the allure of football, am I? Crutches suck. o.O Some people have absolutely no idea of how to drive. Title: Body Language. Number one--cramps. Am randomly curious, so of course, I go ask the flist. :p I have absolutely no idea how many times I said "Oh bother" today. So, I have been steadily doing the betaing that I should have done back when I first got the fics I was supposed to beta, only somehow, I have no idea how, I lost two of them. I was just reminded of it in a post by [livejournal.com profile] froda_baggins, but... It's the DAY BEFORE ELECTION DAY, and Cheney's in Sparks. I am a godawful procrastinator whose sickness has prevented me from concentrating properly on my research paper that is due tomorrow, and so I will be both doomed and up all night trying to write it, even though my head really doesn't feel any better and I coughed about once every two minutes during Japanese today, which I had to go to because it's the last class before the final and I need the revision and so on.

...Part of that almost made sense. o.O

Anyway, you all know the gigantic reclist of doom? Apparently my last announced update was in November, with 220, but now there's 268 (48 fics since my last update!), so if you haven't checked it out recently, go look. Lots of good fic. :D

You know, I was thinking of doing that movie lines meme, only then I started thinking of lines that I could use, and everything that I know well enough to quote is way too obvious. This is because, I think, I'm actually not a gigantic fan of movies.

Well, some movies I really like, obviously, but I think those are an exception. I rather tend to fall asleep during movies. I mean honestly, I fell asleep during the original Star Wars trilogy (just a couple years ago, in fact), and The Godfather, Some Like It Hot, and...pretty much every single movie that my Creative Writing teacher showed us last year, and he showed us a lot of movies (being as film was one-third of our year). A couple weeks ago, Casablanca was just starting and my family was watching it, and I thought, "Oh, Casablanca, everyone says it's really good so I should watch it." Wasn't even half an hour before I had to get up or risk falling asleep. Sometimes I have to poke myself in movie theaters.

I think maybe it's just not interactive enough for me. I mean, with books, you can visualize what's happening and I like that, while with movies it's right in front of you so there's no point in visualizing something else. And in video games, even though there's a set plot and all this stuff has to happen, you get to control it, and it's fun. I've always liked books and video games more than movies.

Also? It snowed probably another foot today, and the storm's not supposed to be over until Tuesday morning, I think, and probably next week we're going to have delayed scheduling as well, as there's SO MUCH SNOW. And you know, I like snow days and not having to get up at six and go to school, but graduation is still the same day it's scheduled for, and I don't want to go to school after I graduate. Parents say that the school district is likely to just tack on some extra time at the end of each day for a couple weeks rather than make it all up in June. I hope so.
