Donner Pass, I hate you. Two and a half hours to go thirty-five miles? I think that pass is just unlucky.

There was OVER A FOOT AND A HALF OF SNOW on our driveway when we got home. We couldn't get the car up it until my dad spent a good hour or so shoveling it all off, whereupon we could finally unpack the car.

SO MUCH SNOW, OMG. And there's supposed to be more coming tomorrow night. Wow. I really hope we get a snow day on Monday, because I reaaaally don't fancy driving in all that.

Bigger update tomorrow, I suppose. Right now I think I will catch up on all the stuff on shackinup_sesa (and don't be jealous because you're not part of shacking_up...) and other things people wrote. Gah. So much stuff to read.

Also, anyone up to betaing something for me? (I was in a hurry to post Heart of the Matter, so it didn't get properly betad; sorry about that.) This is about 2000 words, Remus/Sirius and OC->Sirius. Thanks in advance to anyone who can, especially if you can do it quickly.

I'm not so much jealous as really, really hurt at this point. And tired of pretending it doesn't hurt, because even though it's petty, I don't like lying.

*sigh* What bothers me is that it's advertised as a reccing community just as much as fic/art, and...there are so few recs it's almost negligible. The maintainer says that if we keep writing good fic, then we'll eventually be noticed, but the maintainer appears to just be hanging out in her own little corner of LJ, and the people in the community aren't reccing. It bothers me.

I'm just jealous, because while I think my fic is good, I don't think it's the type to stand out in anyone's mind (not yet at least :p). Yours, on the other hand...I'm hurt on your behalf that you haven't been invited. Geez. I'm not even going to pretend I understand how someone could invite people they think write good R/S and miss you. *sigh*

I know. And I know it sounds egocentric, but at this point, I don't care. I know I'm good. You know you're good. We both know that we are good. I don't get it. I know that the mod is involved in a number of different comms and can't be everywhere at once, and I understand that. But I don't understand the non-reccing. I've been told by a few people today that they had no idea I wasn't on the comm. O_o Well, now they know.
