Why do people tell you that your senior year is supposed to be the best of your life?

Sigh. I wish my books would stop disappearing, too.

Even if I'm not sure what I think of Thanksgiving as a holiday, I'm glad of it, if only so that it's a four day weekend.

And, I will repeat from a previous entry, I hate research papers.

Note to self: Tomorrow, do something productive instead of just faff about on the internet reading fanfic. You've got far too many plot bunnies for your own good, so actually write them and maybe they'll stop haunting you.

Ahh, dude, highschool just sucks, don't listen to anyone who says that.

And Thanksgiving is about food and getting off of school :) That's it.

They're talking about senior year of COLLEGE. And the ones that are actually referring to high school... well, they're lying.

Why do people tell you that your senior year is supposed to be the best of your life?

Because the people who tell you are either 1) adults who grew up in an environment less competitive and modern as ours, 2) adults who went to crap schools in crap school districts but act like they know everything (I get this a lot. It drives me nuts), or 3) people who really didn't give jack shit about school in the first place.

In then there's the occasional genius you run across who found school a breeze, but that's rare.

People are wrong. >_< Senior year is all right, but it's incredibly stressful, what with turning 18 and all the responsibilites that go with that, applying to college, etc. Meh. My college years were waaaaay better. My junior year of college was the best year of my life so far, with sophomore year a respectable second.

I don't turn eighteen until I'm already in college. Sigh. Just less than ten months to go... And if all goes well, I won't have to apply to any more colleges. It's just keeping my grades up right now, which, considering all my classes are AP or college, is harder than I want it to be. *sigh again*

I'm so looking forward to getting into college.
