こんばんは みんなさん!
るくじに おきます。じゅうじに ねます。
WAHAHA YES! IT WORKS!
Though I wish I knew more Japanese... Ah well, that's what my class is for :D.
にほんご の くらすは じゅうにちじに はじまります。そして にほんご の くらすはじゅうにじごじゅうぷんに おわります。
EEEE COOLEST THING EVER.
Though I can't figure out how to switch from hiragana to katakana or kanji, so some of the things that should be in katakana, or that I know the kanji for, are still in hiragana.
るろうに けんしん の まんがは さんひゃくきゅうじゅうえんです。
Also, I <333
thistlerose. She sent me a package, and she only said she was sending me some CDs, but I got it today and opened it and there were three CDs, plus a card, plus pictures of her adorable cats, AND!!! Rurouni Kenshin manga, volume two, in Japanese! And all the kanji in it have hiragana right next to them explaining what the kanji is! I can read the whole thing! I may not be able to understand the whole thing, but I can read it!
I LOVE
thistlerose VERY MUCH RIGHT NOW.
Now let's think how many more random sentences I can think up...
こんばんは しょうせつ お よみます。そして きのうは しょせつ お よみました。そして あしたは しょせつ お よみます。
I know that's partly bad grammar, but I can't find the other character for "o"...
ときどき ざっし お よみます、 でも あまり しんぶん お よみます。
So fun.
Hello, everyone!
I get up at six. I go to bed at ten.
Japanese class starts at twelve o'clock, and ends at twelve fifty.
Rurouni Kenshin manga is 390 yen. (VERY CHEAP, but that's what it says on the back of the manga...)
Tonight I read a novel, and yesterday I read a novel, and tomorrow I will read a novel.
Sometimes I read magazines, but I don't often read newspapers.
...Ahahaha so random XD.

konbanha minnasan!
るくじに おきます。じゅうじに ねます。
rukujini okimasu. Jyu ujini nemasu.
にほんご の くらすは じゅうにちじに はじまります。そして にほんご のくらすはじゅうにじごじゅうぷんに おわります。
nihongo no kurasuha jyuunichijini hajimarimasu. soshite nihongo nokurasuhajyunijigojyupunni owarimasu.

rurouni kenshin no mangaha sanhyakukyuujyuuendesu.
こんばんは しょうせつ お よみます。そして きのうは しょせつ お よみました。そして あしたは しょせつ お よみます。
konbanha shyousetsu o yomimasu. soshite kinouha shyosetsu o yomimashita. soshite ashitaha shiyosetsu o yomimasu.
ときどき ざっし お よみます、 でも あまり しんぶんお よみます。
Tokidoki za(tsu)shi (dunno how that goes) o yomimasu, demo amari shinpuno yomimasu.
I don't know what most of that means. Don't even know if it's right. But the -masu ones are verbs!
I learned the rest of the characters in hiragana today, as well as some sentence structure and conjugations! (It was a super long lesson, nearly 2 hrs, which was awesome, but parents=X_X so no lessons at all next week -_-;;)
Yay for Japanese word processors! And YAY FOR NOT SPAZZY ELJAY! Did you figure the e-mail thing or did it just start working again?
Re: pick me!
Date: 2004-11-04 09:46 pm (UTC)Anyway, whenever there's the "ha" at the end of words, like with konbanha, it's actually a particle and pronounced "wa". So konbanha is konbanwa, and Rurouni Kenshin no manga ha is Rurouni Kenshin no manga wa. Konbanwa is just a greeting, but the other "ha" particles are just like "is" or something.
Also, ざっし is pronounced "zasshi"--the small tsu means double constinent of the next letter.
And sometimes the word processor didn't do spaces when I'd meant it to, like しんぶんお, which should be しんぶん お, and therefore shinbun o.
Otherwise, translations are in the post. :)
Re: pick me!
Date: 2004-11-04 10:49 pm (UTC)And the little tsu I sort of learned about, がっこう is "gakkou" I believe...but as you can tell I'm not too good with the even the basics of grammar. Thanks for explaining stuffs! I saw the translations, but waited till after I worked through it all. Not that it made a difference, cause pretty much the only words I recogonised were "Rurouni" and "Kenshin"...and manga. XD

Date: 2004-11-04 10:21 pm (UTC)Except, you know, the only full sentence (and I use that term loosely) I can really remember is... "Konnichiwa, iie janaidesu. Demo, inu wa nan deska". Which I think translates as, "Hello, no I don't know. What is a dog?"
^_^

Date: 2004-11-05 05:49 pm (UTC)I don't know what janai desu means (I'm fairly sure it's separate words, since desu is a conjugation of the verb that means "to be"), but the second sentence does say "But what is a dog?" Only the deska would be spelled desu ka--Japanese just sorta blurs words together sometimes :p.

Date: 2004-11-07 02:25 pm (UTC)(And YES, manga is very cheap in Japan. It depends on the company putting it out and all, but 400 yen was about average, I think. That's about $3 a pop.)
