Tomorrow morning, I'm leaving for Seattle. Since I'm only going to be gone for about two and a half days (coming back on Saturday), I'm not bringing my computer, and so I will definitely not have internet, or be able to work on fics. [livejournal.com profile] madilayn and [livejournal.com profile] orgilion, I'm going to try and beta your fics tonight, but if they aren't in your inboxes within several hours, expect them sometime Saturday. And aieeeeeee I'm seeing [livejournal.com profile] thistlerose in LESS THAN A DAY! *excited squeal* :D:D:D

In other news, sometimes I wonder if I'm too nice/agreeable/whatever. It's now 12:30, and about an hour ago, my little sister called, and told me that she was downtown without a ride. Note that downtown is not the best sort of neighborhood--casinoes and bars all over the place. Not pleasant late at night, especially when one is underage, like my little sister. So she calls, I come pick her up...along with three of her friends, including two I didn't know (one of which was a guy they called a bum, but who told me his name was Luke, like Luke Skywalker. *rolls eyes*). So then I spend at least half an hour driving all these people home, when it's past midnight, and I have to get up at eight tomorrow morning in order to get ready and catch my flight. Little sister gave me ten dollars for doing it, and then kept complaining that she was overpaying me, and wasn't ten dollars a lot? I told her I'd use it to replace the gas I used up driving her friends all over, and she didn't believe me when I told her I paid forty to fill up a tank of gas, never mind that I certainly would know.

But yes. I drove people I don't know to parts of town I don't know, and listened to my sister's complaining all the while. Am I too nice?

But anyway, I need to pack soon. Things to do: pack. Finish betaing. And finish making Footpad. :D

Anyway, I'll see you all on Saturday!

ETA: I just got the most random email in my yahoo account. It's from someone I don't know, and says: I have a question! Is there a difference between towards and toward? Fowards and forward? Backwards and backward? I'm just so confused ~_~

Why are they asking me? o.O

Forward and backward are adjectives while forwards and backwards are adverbs.

I'll Miss you 'til Saturday, have a lovely trip.

I know the difference, but apparently this random person who emailed me doesn't. I was just, whyyyyy are they emailing me when I have no idea who the hell they are? o.O

Thanks! :)

Well, I meant that you might be getting random emails because you're on the beta list, but yes, that works too! Not done yet, but getting there. Sloooooowly.

I actually haven't gotten any requests! :O The only random email I got is that one about forward/forwards etc. *shrug*

...Still haven't started mine. *hides* The last FQF fic I did, I wrote the day before the deadline, and I don't want to do that again...

I haven't gotten any either! Well, no, I got one, but it was spam, not an actual fic.

I'm proud that I've started mine ahead of time. Normally, I put things off until theverylastminute. Remember the Christmas challenge on the SBRL? Yeah, I started mine Christmas Eve. At 11:00 pm. Oi.

Maybe they mistyped someone's address.

Have fun in Seattle. :D

No, you're a good person. If your sister had hopped out the car and said "thanks" and went in the house without giving you a dime, then I would say that you were too nice and naive.

But think of it this way, who knows what would have happened if you hadn't of picked them up? You brought your sister home safe and three families have you to thank for bringing their son/daughter/sister/brother home. :)

An old friend of mine one said, "A friend in need is a pain in the ass." That goes double for relatives. *LOL* But you did the right thing. ^__^

Have a great trip!
