random junk
Aug. 15th, 2004 10:46 pmAm home. Yay.
Have my DSL back. YAY.
Things to do tomorrow: go to a craft store to get some black fabricy-stuff (why can't I remember the real name?) and blue buttons to make a Footpad with.
thistlerose, should I give him a tongue or not? (BTW, we need to coordinate about Seattle sometime, and I think over IM would be best.)
Family reunions are boring, especially when they're mostly old people I don't know. I don't really mind talking to them, but I don't really know what to say...so I read and finished Song of Solomon. Two summer reading books down, one to go. Catch-22, ugh. I've started it already, and it's actually pretty funny, but...not something I'd read for pleasure, I don't think.
Speaking of reading for pleasure, I have rediscovered the wonder of Lloyd Alexander and Prydain. :D Taran and Eilonwy and everyone else...I haven't read these books in years, and am rereading The Book of Three now. Yay for Lloyd Alexander!
Why are there 105 DDR fics at ff.net? For that matter, why are there 52 Minesweeper fics? And dude, over a thousand for Super Smash Brothers? *mind boggles* Well, at least there are no Pac-Man or Tetris fics...
I put a couple more links up at my R/S reclist, and, to make things easier for people, I've put a red "New!" in front of all new links. Now it should be easier to find the new ones, though the list is getting pretty long--172 currently! And I think soon I might start putting my "why I recommend these fics" blurbs in, which would definitely be good.
And you know, recs will always be welcome...*raises eyebrows at flist*

Date: 2004-08-15 11:20 pm (UTC)Footpad Footpad Footpad! Hmm. If memory serves, he has a pink tongue, but I don't remember. I should, as he's my OC. (Oh god, is Footpad really an OC???)
I loooooove Lloyd Alexander! I really really need to reread those books. Note the Eilonwy icon! She was my heroine when I was twelve. Loved her. And everyone else.

Date: 2004-08-15 11:44 pm (UTC)Am currently trying to find time to compile list of 440+ fics on harddrive for someone who asked in a community.
Seeing as I want to make this a good list (with as much links as possible), it's taking me forever. @_@ Majority of it is MWPP, L/J, R/S though, with a few Harry-centric, one G/D, and yeah. I'm not very much into anything non-MWPP centric. -_-;;

Date: 2004-08-16 01:33 am (UTC)I was thrilled to see you are rereading The Book of Three. I am making my boyfriend read the books and he complained that it goes too fast (hes on The Black Cauldron). But he reads them anyway cause I know where he sleeps. I can read the entire Chronicles of Prydain in mere hours and he does a book in 2 days and says it too fast... I guess I don't understand boys
