Just remembered.
Bush was in Reno today (er, yesterday), trying to gain support. I was trying to find parking downtown and on the radio, there was some woman talking about Yucca Mountain, and how if Bush doesn't think it's all right for Texas to be turned into a toxic waste dump, then why is it all right for Nevada? I liked her.
Also, had my interview today. Not as bad as I thought it would be, and I start work probably the second week of July. Whee!
Also, I'm coming to Seattle in August to look at UW and then do fun stuff.
thistlerose (though I know you just got there) and
casira and any other people in Seattle on my flist, any suggestions on fun stuff to do there?
Also, go spam me. You know you want to...^_~

Date: 2004-06-19 03:27 pm (UTC)Seriously, I don't know. What do you like to do? Downtown seems to have some cool shops, especially along the water. The new library is supposed to be quite cool, as is the Seattle Art Museum (I really want to go), the zoo, and the aquarium. Maybe we could meet up somewhere!

Date: 2004-06-20 11:08 pm (UTC)Oh, trust me. My parents used to freak out when I told them I was meeting people I'd met on the Internet. And I was 20. *rolls eyes* I just stopped telling them.
Er, which is not what you should do!
*thinks*

Date: 2004-06-21 03:17 am (UTC)*cough* No, I don't think just not telling them would work. I'm *cough* too young to wander around in a big city by myself, and that's the only way they wouldn't know, I think.
But damn, I so want to meet you!

Date: 2004-06-21 12:10 pm (UTC)By August I should have figured out the bus system, so I could probably meet you anywhere. There are a few things in Seattle that I really want to see, and I'd much rather go with a friend than alone.

Date: 2004-06-20 09:51 pm (UTC)I agree with Thistlerose. Definitely check out to see if the Showbox has anyone good playing there. It's a little place where there are a lot of concerts, for any age. (It's got a bar and such, but as I'm 17, it's nice to be able to go to concerts anyway). Lake Union is REALLY nice, and as is Giggles, a comedy club.
You're thinking about the UW?? I'm probably going to end up going there, so that's really cool.
*is very happy*

Oooh, good luck with that!
