Take comfort - I started out as a het writer writing slash, and now write both perfectly happily (or in tears if I'm piling yet more angst on poor Remus).

As usual, this is very well done. I like how Remus is still unsure of his sexual identity - he knows it's wrong but can't decide why.

I do like that it's Lily's first time, but not necessarily Remus'. (I am not really a proponent of completely innocent Remus).

Anyway - well done.

Remus het??

Remus is the last person I'd picture in a het situation. But it's good. I like that Remus knows that something is wrong with this picture but doesn't know quite what it is. And that Lily likes and trusts Remus.

(It's a strange pairing. But since I just paired Remus and Regulus Black the other day, I don't think I have any right to say anything about strange pairings.)

Remus and Lily make no sense at all, hmph.

Now Snape and Lily make sense. Lily saw something in Snape that nobody else saw. Snape cared about Lily, but was ashamed to care about a "mudblood", so they kept their unusual romance a secret in their 5th year.(Some of my shippers believe it was after their 5th year, give or take).

Why do you think Lily was so *shocked* that Snape called her a mudblood in "Snapes Worst Memory"? She wasn't hurt or angry in the least bit, she was taken aback because Snape(her secret love-vah) had the NERVE to call her mudblood(even if he was only covering up).


It's ALSO the reason why Sirius hates Snape so much. James told him about Lily's brief relationship. Heck it's why James and Snape hated each other so much.


Severus Snape means Perseus Evans, yes he did!

Now I ask you, why would Snape, a person who is SUPERB in Occlumency and Legilimency, pick this memory to extract? Why was he so scared of Harry, a boy who doesn't know a lick of Occlumency or Legilimency, seeing this?

I agree that Remus/Lily makes no sense! That's why it's so weird and why Remus is a bit of a jackass, having sex with the girl one of his best friends is in love with. But it was just demanding to be written...

Now this may surprise you a bit, but my Remus is not necessarily hardcore gay. That being said, I like the idea of Remus/Lily better than I even like the idea of James/Sirius or James/Remus.

So I liked this! You left the minor bits of hesitation open for Remus, where the slasher in all of us NORMAL folks can pretend that he's confused about his preferences. It's before Sirius/Remus and James/Lily, so that I like. And I liked that not only was it Lily's first time, but I liked the reason why she chose Remus to be her first. :D

It was very nicely done, man. You should write more het. Though one thing...I wouldn't have called your story an NC-17, for some reason. You didn't get into...er, juices and girl parts and things. Maybe a hard R?

But then again, that's probably just the pervert in me. I click on an NC-17 for the gritty DETAILS. :D

Heh, there will be more het :p. Even some Remus/Hermione, which I know you like, though I'm sure I shall cringe even as I indulge the blasted plot bunny.

I'd rather rate too high than too low, hence the NC-17. Also, in my coder training for FA, my trainer told me the things that would get a fic sent back for NC-17 snipping, and this fic had some of that. So yeah. Rating just to be safe :p.
