Feb. 11th, 2010 07:19 pmBugger. Today I went to the Apple store to see what they could do about my internet, and the person I saw there said there did not seem to be a hardware issue but maybe it was that my airport was set to US frequencies. So she expanded my frequencies to international ones and I hoped it was fixed, but when I went back to the school building and tried to use the wireless there, it still kept losing the signal. (Sorry,
shinyopals! I just couldn't keep the signal for more than a few seconds at a time at that point.)
The other option mentioned was to give my computer to them for a week or two while they went over it to see if something was wrong, and this would cost 99 pounds.
So now I'm trying to decide if that would be worth it. I mean, I do get internet for a few minutes every time I open up my computer, and while I won't like to be forever closing and opening it again, well, it works. I can also use the computers set up at the school and be glad that I brought my flash drive.
I might just give it some time and see how well I can live without steady internet. *sigh*

Date: 2010-02-11 07:31 pm (UTC)You might consider getting one of those USB wireless internet adapters as a temporary solution. It might be cheaper, and if you shut off wifi it should work fine.
Is it *all* wireless internet that drops, or just what is at school? Can you try it at a Starbucks or something?
