I never was a big fan of April Fool's Day, but I think this was the first one where I can't recall encountering any jokes. I didn't notice any ridiculous stuff on my flist, and LJ didn't even do anything (that I noticed, at least). Nothing IRL either. Huh.

And for another surprise, I...started watching Buffy. I was always reluctant to do this because I'm pretty sure Joss Whedon is going to play with my heart, but I couldn't help it; I gave in.

My overwhelming thought after seeing the first few episodes is that I'm so glad I'm not in high school anymore. XD

Now I'm ridiculously tired even though it's not even midnight yet, so I think I'll watch one more episode and then go to bed.

I adored the Buffy series (and Angel) and I'm sure you will, too. There are a few ridiculous episodes, but also a few very dark ones. I miss it not being on tv anymore.

LJ did do an April Fool's joke, actually, by posting a newspost in which they said that they were implementing an automatic LJ-cut for entries longer than 140 words, so that our friends' page wouldn't be cluttered with other people's lives anymore. ...knowing how shitty LJ is, it took me a while before I realized it was indeed supposed to be a joke.

I had a brief love affair with Buffy a few years back, but when I tried to get into s3 again recently it was just TOO HIGH SCHOOL. I still liked the jokes and the characters, but there was just something about it that I couldn't quite stomach. XD

Also: Joss kills puppies. For fun.
