1. When Martha called him and said she needed his help, the last thing the Doctor expected when he emerged from the TARDIS was for Jack to grab him, cuff him, and stuff him into a car.

2. She was in the middle of a laugh when she let out a large yawn, and she smiled ruefully when she finished.

3. The water is cold, and he can hear screaming.

4. "So you've done this before, right?"

5. Sirius is seventeen years old, and James has been teasing him endlessly because he's never kissed a girl.

So, patterns.

Well, for one, I'm very multi-fandom, apparently. XD Out of the last twenty-five fics, there are eleven different fandoms (Doctor Who, Harry Potter, X-Files, West Wing, Star Wars, Chronicles of Narnia, Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, His Dark Materials, Stardust, Rurouni Kenshin, and Final Fantasy VII). That's actually most of the different fandoms I've written in--apparently I only got so multi-fandom in the past few years (if I went for the first twenty-five fics I wrote, they'd all be Harry Potter).

I like to start in the middle of action. Sometimes I set the scene, but mostly I just jump right into things.

I also like to use some pretty eye-catching things, lines that will make people curious and want to read more.

And apparently when I wrote my Yuletide fics I liked unexpected things, and at another point I liked stars. XD

But I'm actually somewhat more diverse than I thought. Huh. :p
