Don't expect me to talk about the Olympics much, but I just have to say--France? PWNED. So much for smashing us. Damn, that was quite a race. I don't usually get into the national pride thing (when Bush was being interviewed earlier in the evening, I kept yelling at him), much less the gloating thing, but I think on this case it's a bit warranted. XD

In other news, there's a bit less than five weeks until my birthday (my 21st birthday, omg), and tonight my mom was pressing me a bit for a birthday list. I tried to think of stuff, but I got nothing. I was thinking maybe a new iPod, since I've had the same one since 2004, but the one I have still works just fine, and I can't think of anything I'd do with a new one--I don't care about video, since I'm not interested in watching things on such a small screen. I was also thinking maybe a new phone with internet access, but I rarely use the phone I have, and I have good enough internet access now that I'd almost never use it on a phone--plus the small screen issues, again.

I don't even think there are any new books I want coming out between now and mid-September.

I might ask for the Doctor Who DVDs (actually, I probably will), but that's really about it for what I want. You know, I don't think trying to think of presents I want is supposed to be such a chore... XD
