I'm watching Revelation of the Daleks, which is another Davros serial. Six just said that he's nine hundred years old, and I'm pretty sure that at one point Seven says he's something like 945. I really have to wonder what RTD was thinking when he had Nine say that he was nine hundred. If we take this, plus some Eight book canon into account, Nine has to be closer to eleven hundred than nine hundred.

I think I'm just going to assume that pretending to be younger than he really is is a trait he shares with Jackie. I want Rose to find out about this and mock him. *g*

If I'd liked SitL/FotD, I might have been open to watching S5. Since they exemplified so many of the things I find problematic with Moffat, I have no interest in seeing where a show under his direction would go. And I just read a semi-transcript heidi8 made of what he said at Comic Con, which really makes me think I made the right decision. Going by what he said there, plus his past record, does not lead me to think I'd like where he takes the show, so to preserve my love for it, I need to stay away from it. *sigh*

BWUH. I have just been blown away by the "clingy girlfriend" comment -- I mean, WTF, Moffat, are you TRYING to alienate more than half your fanbase? Geez. Someone should just lock this guy up and never have him speak, just write scripts.

I still plan to judge him by what he writes, not the stupid remarks he makes, but oooooh he is testing my patience...

Also, with regards to the age thing? It's gonna be different, depending on which planet's year-cycle he measures by -- my guess is that he just keeps on switching... maybe deliberately picking planets with longer cycles so he seems younger. :)

Well, he might be trying to stir up trouble, but I think a lot of his comments there demonstrate a big lack of understanding about the character of the Doctor that I noticed in previous episodes and that I don't think bodes well for the future of the show and the character. And just judging him by what he writes is what makes me not want to watch S5; his stupid remarks only cement that decision. *sigh*
