Am in Vegas! We're sorta...mooching wireless off someone else in the complex, and my computer seems unable to catch the signal for more than like thirty seconds at a time, which is inconvenient when trying to check my flist. I'm on my friend's computer at the moment--she seems to get the internet just fine--but I don't want to monopolize it, so I don't think I'll be on the internet again until I'm back home--unless I get ansty about needing to check my email. XD

Then again, no internet does mean I might get a move on writing, which is all to the good. *g*

The drive down was very long. We made pretty good time, but that only means seven hours instead of eight--it's appreciated, but still a very long trip. And apparently I bought an iPod car charger that doesn't let me listen to my iPod with the car speakers, which made things a bit tedious. But still, we made it, and I don't think it's actually any hotter in Vegas than it is in Reno, which is not what I was expecting.

We wanted to spend today by the pool, but a thunderstorm came in, so we weren't there for more than an hour. Tomorrow we're going to go see Zion National Forest (er, Park? One of those) in Utah (I've actually never been to Utah, despite living in the state next door for all my life), so that'll be fun. But we're going to leave early, since it's a few hours away, so I'm going to go to bed early. I'll read the flist and answer comments when I get home again. :)

Wow I´m so glad you guys went! Take LOTS of pictures of Zion, I think it´s one of my favorite state parks, and you know how many of those my family has dragged me to. Even if you don´t go on any of the hikes (which you should consider because the scenery is SPECTACULAR!) still enjoy it because there´s no where else like it.

Alas that we both forgot to bring cameras! XD It really is a gorgeous place, though, even if we didn't go on any hikes because it seemed perpetually about to storm. *sigh*

Well, it's actually supposed to be an eight hour drive, going the speed limit, but everyone speeds. Except crazy people. XD
