Dec. 26th, 2007 10:51 pmI have yarn! And books! *glee* I got gift cards to Barnes and Noble and Michaels for Christmas--both were $25, and I've already used up the B&N one, of course, though I still have a bit left of the Michaels. I just wanted a bunch of yarn so I could experiment with crochet projects.
Tomorrow I'm going to Santa Cruz until New Year's Eve. I'm not bringing my old laptop, which is the one that connects to the internet there (dial-up only, ugh, and I don't feel like figuring out how to do it with my Mac), but I am bringing the Mac. Without the distraction of the internet, I intend to write. Of course, I also have new books I've never read before (just bought Stephenie Meyer's Twilight and New Moon, since I've heard good things, and they looked good in the store), and a new video game I've never played before, and things to crochet, so who knows if I'll actually manage to write anything. :p
But given the lack of internet time, I probably won't get to do my
yuletide recs until after authors are revealed, which is probably just as well.
Twin told me she ordered seasons two and three of Doctor Who, and that they're supposed to come in five to nine business days. As long as they get here before she has to go back to school, I'm happy.
Now, considering I will soon be internet-less for the next few days, I'm going to back to reading fic. :p
