I keep wanting to post something, but I don't really have anything to say. Well, except that my birthday is in exactly a week and I turn 20, which is sorta...odd. No more teenager...just. Odd.

Also, HP seems to have swung around to being my primary fandom again. I haven't written anything new yet, but I've been reading a whole lot. I just wish it was easier to find good novel-length fics of the type I want to read, but that I haven't read before.

Hmm. I've been out of HP for years, and had a few computer crashes since then, so no bookmarks, but once upon a time reading novel-length HP fics was my number one fandom pastime. What sort of fics are you looking for?

(Also commenting cause I need an excuse to say how much I love that icon *G*)

Really long, plotty, well-written, interesting Harry fic that's either gen or Harry/Ginny. Thing is, reading those also used to be one of my favorite fandom pastimes, so I've read a lot of them. Usually when I ask people, they either rec me something I've already read, or something I'm not interested in, like long, plotty, well-written, interesting Harry/Draco. (I have no objection to Harry slash--there's some I liked--but I really prefer genfic.) I especially like ones that distinguish themselves from all the ubiquitous fifth-, sixth-, and seventh-year fic out there--I love time travel, for instance, and traveling to an alternate universe, and even powerful!Harry fic. It's just that I've already read so many! :p

(:D I love my HP/SW icons.)

It's even stranger when you turn 21, because suddenly everyone's making a big thing of how you're officially an adult. 20 felt a bit... in-between. :p

Heh. 20 is rather in-between, but it does mean I've passed into another decade of life. :p Which is just, you know, odd.

As I told [livejournal.com profile] lyore:

I'm also rather craving good Harry post-DH genfic, one-shot or not, but I've always loved interesting novel-lengths. :)
