Summer makes me so bloody unproductive. I don't post very often, when I do, it's boring, I don't write as much fic, and I get horrendously late with answering comments and betaing. (Sorry, [livejournal.com profile] vikkir! I'll have the whole thing back to you before I leave.) School really helps keep me on task and working (not just on schoolwork), and wow I'm glad that classes start in less than a week. I'm leaving on Friday. Eeee! *is excited*

My last day of work was Saturday. And y'know, I liked my job well enough, especially since the tips meant I made about $12 an hour (instead of my technical wage, $6), and since I got to drive around and listen to the radio for most of my shift, but I'm not sorry to stop. Geez, some of the people there were just idiots, and I'm so glad to get away from the guy who kept preaching at me...

My nineteenth birthday is in less than a month, and my mom asked for a birthday list. The one I gave her had four things on it, two of which were video games that don't come out for months but that I want pre-ordered (and hey, might as well have parents pay for them, rather than me, since both are $50). *sigh* There's just not much that I want anymore.

Netflix recently decided to Make No Sense. I've been renting X-Files from it, and right now am in the middle of season two. I've got the two-at-a-time plan, and for last Saturday, Netflix sent me disc three--which is good, since that was the next disc in my queue. But instead of getting disc four as well, I got disc one of season nine, something that was a good forty or so positions down the queue. If disc four of season two wasn't available yet, why the hell wouldn't they send me disc five, since that was what was next in my queue? Why skip forty positions? It pissed me off, especially since I wanted to watch as much of season two as I could with Twin before I have to leave and take my Netflix subscription with me, since she'll either be cut off in the middle of the plot or have to get her own account.

And besides all that, I just want to know what the hell happens next, without having to wait for Netflix to straighten itself out. *sigh* I'm becoming way too fond of X-Files now--I want to read fanfic, but I know that if I try this early in the series, I won't understand what's going on...

Netflix pulled the same crap on me this summer. In the middle of Buffy S3 they started sending me Angel...which was on my queue after about 30 discs. I cleared out everything except the Buffy discs and it seems to be going in order now. Maybe if you took off some of The X-Files?

Netflix...she is a bitch goddess.

hmm. I've never had that particular netflix problem, but I get mislabeled discs a lot. I think that's more of a the-people-who-had-them-before-are-idiots and then netflix-people-don't-check-before-they-recatalogue. (Like, once I got TNG:S3:Disc 1 in the DS9:S3:Disc 1 envelope, or some random foreign movie in the "Green Street Hooligans" envelope.) It's annoying, but they're kind of predictable mishaps.

For some reason, I thought you were older than eighteen! Like twenty or something.

I used to be addicted to the X-Files. :D
