Today those of us in the Language House program for next year went to our houses and picked out rooms and met our housemates and stuff.

Good thing: I have my own room, right next to the bathroom.

o_O thing: All of my housemates are guys.

I'm the only girl in the Japanese House next year. There'll be four guys, and me. I like the guys (one of them is in my class), but...eeep.

This makes me nervous.

For me, that would be cool, but I have brothers and male friends and always got along better with guys than with girls. (Except online! I can handle girls here.) I am was a tomboy forever. If it makes you really nervous, is there someone in the housing department you can talk to about it? If your room isn't specifically single, maybe there's some way you could have a female roommate.

Well, I like guys, and get along with them very well. The thing that is making me nervous right now is sharing a bathroom (since there's only one) with four guys, especially during my period. Maybe I'm unduly concerned, but I have no brothers or anything. This year in the dorms with guys on my floor is the first time I've lived close to a guy who is not my father/uncle/grandfather. :p
