Nov. 14th, 2008 11:24 pmHad the first show today. It went pretty well--I don't think it's the best I've ever danced, but I didn't slip and fall like I did once in rehearsals, so that's always a plus. XD One more show tomorrow, and then dance is done for the semester.
I have a bit of a problem with the rest of my college career, though. Right now I'm scheduled to graduate Spring 2010, and for a while I worried about being able to fit in all the classes for my major in that time (since I'm not quite done with the core yet either). Today I talked with my advisor, though, and we figured that I can get everything done by spring 2010.
The thing with that, though, is that's without factoring in the semester I want to study abroad. I really want to do that, but if I do, I'm going to have to add another semester of school, and therefore be done in fall 2010 rather than spring. Personally I'm fine with that, especially since that would give me a bit more leeway and I could do a Politics and Government minor as well.
The difficulty with this is money. *sigh* I'm sure that in ordinary circumstances, my parents would encourage me to study abroad and take the extra semester, because they're all for expanding horizons and have told me more than once that going through college is not a race. But I know my mom wants to retire soon, and the economy's not in the best shape, and my school is expensive, and my younger sister's is even worse (and she just started). So I dunno if we'd be able to afford me taking another semester to finish up.
Well, I definitely need to talk to my parents first. Too bad Obama's tax credit for college won't apply to private schools, because I'd have no problem doing community service.
