Oct. 26th, 2004 08:30 pmToday at work, I spent three hours withdrawing books (meaning making them not library books anymore), which was almost mind-numbingly dull. But it had a saving grace, and that was that I was allowed to keep whatever books I wanted and so I now have copies of Bridget Jones's Diary (which I've been meaning to read ever since I read Chronicles of Lucius but never got around to), Once Upon a More Enchanted Time (of the "Politically Correct Bedtime Stories" series, which is funny as hell), and Where the Heart Is (because I love the movie). :D
Though perhaps the best thing is that I finally have checked out At Swim, Two Boys (
marauderthesn, my library system doesn't have Maurice! :O), so now I can know why everyone loves it so! One question, though--is it going to make my heart break?
All of you have been to JibJab, yes? And watched Bush and Kerry sing "This Land Is My Land"? FUNNY STUFF. If you haven't, go! They also have a "Good to Be in DC" to the tune of "Dixie". Very amusing, though "This Land Is My Land" is better.
I am tired like hell and going to bed soon, and just thank GOD that there's a three-day weekend coming up...
