First of all, both the Remus/Hermione fic (which people want me to write a sequel to o.O SAVE ME FROM REMUS HET WAH even if I did write it myself :p) and the Remus/Sirius fic with cameos by Crowley and Aziraphale are up at FA (AT and Riddikulus, respectively). Review them, please. I've made several substantial changes to both of them since I posted them on LJ, and I like them both better now. The Remus/Sirius one even has a title *g*.
But that's not what I'm so happy about, or what made my day.
I love being an eMentor. You all know that, right? It's why I do twice (or maybe three times, now that I'm an "eMentor special agent") the amount of work that's required. I love the newbies I get, and some of them I've even gotten to know a bit better. Rynne + newbies = OTP. (Well, no. Rynne + internet = OTP. Rynne + newbies = OTO--One True Orgy. *g*)
But the best thing ever is being on shift and looking at the profile of one of your newbies, and seeing that they only have one fic in the "favorite fanfics" section, and noticing that it's one of yours. One of my newbies has one of my stories in her favorites section, and her only post is a review of said story.
Excuse me while I go walk on air...*g*
In other news, I'm fairly sure that I'm going to have bruises on my sunburns. *wince* Because see, I had swordfighting tonight (last night? It's past midnight...), and now that we all have boffers (padded swords) made, we started the next stage of training--parry. Which basically consisted of Kaiden designating a circle for us to fight in, giving us helmets and gloves, telling us that all we're allowed to do is block, and attacking us. If we moved out of the circle, we were dead, and if he hit us, we were dead, and every time he hit us, we had to say "Kill". We each had like four or five rounds with him, and with at least a couple dozen kills per round, before it was the next person's turn.
I was last, and I actually acquited myself fairly well, I think. Better than anyone except Danny, I think, but Danny's done martial arts before and is used to this kind of thing, and blocked a lot, even though he was killed and driven out of the circle more. And everyone else was driven out a lot, because Kaiden would just keep coming at us and the instinctual thing is to just back up, but backing up will take you out of bounds, and so most people (well despite there being only five of us there) were consistently being driven out of bounds. I only was once, because I kept moving. *is proud of self* I was not all that good at blocking, because frequently I would use the wrong block, and he hit my legs more times than I can remember, but I lasted rather long against him, because I kept moving. And it was fun. I want to do parry next class!
*goes back to walking on air, despite bruises and sunburns*
