I'm seeing so many movies lately. Why did so many good movies have to come out in the past couple months? And tomorrow we're probably going to go see Pride and Prejudice; there were a few movies that we pretty much had to see here if we wanted to see them before they're out on DVD, since they're not in Reno.

Brokeback Mountain today (which I'm not surprised wasn't in Reno, since Nevada is a conservative state with cowboys who might be offended at the subject matter. Gah.). No real spoilers or anything really in-depth, because I haven't quite got my thoughts on it in order. I didn't cry, but it did make me ache.

I'm definitely going to write fanfic for it. Wow, I'm gaining so many fandoms...

I took a look at my userinfo today, and apparently friend of is at 248. How the hell did that happen? But I think that if two more people friend me and I get to 250, I'll throw a drabble request party. Haven't done one of those in awhile.

Dial-up is annoyingly slow and I've still got books I haven't read (day three of 2006 and I'm already into book #4, which I'll finish today. I read so much...), so I'm going to curl up in bed with my books. Good night. :)

All the good movies come out now because studios are prepping for the Oscar race...plus it's the holiday season, and more people tend to go to the cinema during the holidays (or maybe they just say that).

Heh, I tend to forget about things like the Oscars, but that makes sense. :p It's just weird when I see more movies in the past couple weeks than I have in the past year, since I'm not normally that much of a movie person.

I'm not a cinema person either - but I've gone to see a few films recently (including Goblet of Fire twice) and I'm planning to go to the cinema a few times over the holidays.

Heh, I was going to add to the above comment - what films have you seen recently? Any that you would recommend?

Recently I've seen Goblet of Fire, Narnia, Memoirs of a Geisha, Brokeback Mountain, and Pride and Prejudice. (And ahahahaha that all of those are based on books. :p) I'd actually recommend all of them (well, you've already seen GoF), because I loved them all.

I've definitely got Memoirs of a Geisha on my to-see list, and I was looking forward to seeing Brokeback Mountain...that is, before I found out that I was too young to get in to the cinema. What's wrong with a seventeen-year-old wanting to see some hot gay sex, I ask you? Bah.

I want to see Pride and Prejudice, but only a little bit...I want to see the Colin Firth version first, because I've heard that he's a fantastic Mr. Darcy.
