Um. Hi? So, yes, it's been nearly a month since I updated...not that I've been saying all that much this summer anyway. I just really didn't have much to say.

On Thursday, I leave for Tacoma. A week of orientation, and then I'll officially be a college student. Dude...

Um, I still don't have much to say, but I figured I should let you all know that I'm alive, and that I've been lurking, I guess. I'm just sorta burned out on HP, and book six didn't quite revive my interest the way I thought it might. Not that I'm leaving the fandom or anything, and probably later I'll start being more active again, but not right now.

Speaking of fandoms, I've got another one, and one that I think will stick--I've already written fanfic for it, and that's sort of the point of no return for me. So once thistlerose is done looking at it for me, I'll have a Star Wars fic to post, for anyone who cares. :p

Anyway, time to get back to cleaning up/packing. I've got a busy week.

Well, I'm not scared of college...I'm just sorta amazed that I'm about to go. Time has passed really quickly, it seems.

And don't worry--HP isn't rid of me that easily. I could never abandon our puppies! (They've had rather too much of that, sigh.) But yes, I'm definitely still here and in the fandom, just a bit quieter. :)

Dude, STAR WARS. I went from Harry Potter to Queer as Folk to Star Wars, myself. Still in all the fandoms, but... right now, Ewan's my obsession, along with Ewan/Hayden and Ani/Obi. So. Star Wars! But mostly Ep. III because I'm a slashy fangirl. Please tell me that this no-doubt excellent fanfic will be Ani/Obi? *hopeful*

Ahaha. Um, the fic's actually completely gen (unless you count Owen/Beru, who don't do anything aside from be an established couple), but I would not discount some possible Ani/Obi, later. Once I figure out what to do with Anakin's feelings for Padme. :p (Despite the utter cheesiness of their romantic dialogue, and the lack of chemistry, they are canon.)

Though honestly, despite the fact that I myself am a slashy fangirl...one of my big attractions to Star Wars is Luke (dude, I always fall for the heroes!), and I think most SW fics I write will be centered on him, and most pairing fics will be het.

Anyway, I went shopping today, and tomorrow and the day after I will be packing and cleaning my room. Urgh. But anyway, happy early birthday!

Ahhhh. I seeee. I'm a total slashwhore, lately, I can't even think of a fandom I'm in that I don't slash... *thinks* well, Firefly and Lost, I suppose, but I mean my major ones. I've read some excellent Ani/Obi fic, and they tend to either 1) not mention Padme, which is fine with me, or 2) have Anakin grow tired of her whiney, clingy ways and realize his true feelings. It's not as cheesy as it sounds, I promise! Mostly it's just smolderingly sexy :)

As for Luke... meh. I am very meh on Luke. That is, I don't like him. *hides* Sorry! Honestly, I was not into star wars at all until Ep III, and then I fell in love with Ewan and it all went from there. So. I rewatched the original trilogy recently (because, um, I forgot how it ended) and I was kinda like... hmm, interesting, but uh Ani and Obi are hotter. -_- I'm so shallow, lol.

Ehehe. I was also not into Star Wars at all until Ep. III, but then I had to go watch the original trilogy because I wanted to know what happened (I'm one of those pathetic souls who saw the entire prequel trilogy before any of the original trilogy). And once I saw the original trilogy, I fell in love with Luke, and so fell in love with SW.

And, it's not that I don't slash Star Wars--I've been devouring tons of Obi-Wan/Qui-Gon fics at masterapprentice.org (which has a bunch of Obi/Ani, btw). Cuz, honestly, how gay is Obi-Wan? I just really can't imagine him being straight. But anyway, even though I love the slash...I love the het just as much, yo. Actually, I love the love, whether it's slash, het, femmeslash, or threesome/moresome. In about half my fandoms, my OTP is a slash pairing--in the other half, it's het. It just turned out that my Star Wars OTP happened to be het.

(And as long as you don't insult Luke in front of me--calling him whiney doesn't count, cuz he was--I don't care if you don't like him. I love him, and that's enough for me. :D)

Ahhh. That's interesting, as it's like, the "new" way to watch the movies (that is, from Ep I through Ep VI) now that it's complete. I basically did that, since I had honestly seen the original trilogy yeeears ago, and barely remember them.

Ah yes, Obi/Qui... I've definitely seen that pairing floating around, and I rewatched The Phantom Menace to see what all the hubbub was about. I definitely see where the pairing comes from, especially from the death scene obviously. But I don't know, something about their relationship seems more father/son than lovers to me.

Have you read any of the Star Wars novels? I've read Revenge of the Sith, and I have to say it was an excellent book. Not to mention chock full of Obi/Ani, which just cemented my love of the pairing that much.

I have nothing against het, of course :) Mulder/Scully is one of my favorite pairings ever, among others! I guess for me my SW OTP ended up beign slash :)

Oh, by the way, have you heard of iharthdarth? It's an absolutely HILARIOUS Star Wars comic with these cute little drawings. It's adorable. You should check it out if you havent :) My icon is one of the strips. It's the only slash one so far, the rest are gen... there's a lot of Darth Vader being Luke's daddy, which is just sooo funny... you'll love it!
