Star Wars (spoiler-free!)
May. 23rd, 2005 10:32 pmI saw Star Wars today (without having to pay, as one of the friends I went with works at the theater and got us our tickets), and wow, it was certainly better than Episodes I and II. And it's done what I thought nearly impossible, and made me impatient to watch the original trilogy, because I want to know what happens.
(One thing that made me feel a bit put out--apparently a lot of people I know work at the theater, and one of them was there holding the door open when the movie ended. We stayed to talk with him a bit...and then he asked Danny, who got us our tickets, why he invited me rather than my twin. Never mind that Danny and I are better friends than Danny is with my twin--is it that hard to believe that someone would prefer my company to hers?)
In any case, tomorrow after school I'm going to go rent all the original trilogy and watch it, so if you don't hear from me tomorrow, know that I am rectifying my mistake in not having seen the movies before. :p

Date: 2005-05-23 11:04 pm (UTC)I'm watching Return of the Jedi right now, actually -- it's been a while -- and it's really interesting to come back to now. I keep thinking things like, "Oh! Chewbacca! Last I saw you, you were carting Yoda around Kashyyyk, and this girl you're standing next to wasn't even born yet..." :)
