Filename meme, gacked from...a bunch of people, most recently from [livejournal.com profile] neko_myka. These are all the filenames of my uncompleted fics.

absent moon.doc, andromeda tonks, agony aunt.doc, breaking restraint.doc, breaking storms.doc, cold comfort.doc, flutes of fancy.doc, his lady.doc, let him look.doc, mind over matter.doc, on the eves of sleep.doc, only time.doc, psalm 139.doc, pwp^2.doc, queerditch remix.doc, real unicorns.doc, red sky at night.doc, shades of grey.doc, vixy's fic.doc, why james is going insane.doc, xanadu.doc, years' map.doc, yours sincerely.doc

Twenty-two right there. o.O Some of them probably won't ever be finished, all that's required on others in order to be done is just some editing I'm too lazy to do, and some aren't even HP.

In other news, Zelda is sucking me in again. For the past week I've been playing Wind Waker, then on Friday I started a new game of Ocarina of Time, on Saturday I got to the Forest Temple and was bored, and so started a new game of Majora's Mask, which I've been playing all today (and I'll go beat Gyorg tomorrow). Now I just need to find my copy of Link's Awakening again...

I wish all my other fandoms were as popular as HP is. I love HP, but I love Final Fantasy, and Zelda, and Rurouni Kenshin, etc., just as much, only there's not even a tenth as much fic for all of those combined as there is for HP, and that makes me sad.

I wonder what is is that makes or breaks a fandom. I mean, there's accessiblity, for one thing. You have to have the right systems to play video games, and the Final Fantasy and Legend of Zelda series are spread out over several systems. Plus video games take more effort to get through the story--you have to be active, not passive the way you can be with reading a book or watching a movie/tv series--it takes me at least a week to get through my RPGs, and that's playing for most of the day. Individual video games and anime also tend to be more expensive than most books.

*sigh* I suppose that's it. The video game fandoms aren't as popular because not as many people are willing to buy and play through them. Bah. Everyone should, though, as they're brilliant. And they have brilliant fics. *blows raspberry at flist* :p

I can't bring myself to finish Wind Waker because then it will be over and I will have no more. I am up to the second to last battle, too. I just can't do it.

I was actually thinking of resetting my original Zelda game and playing it from the beginning. Best. Game. Ever.

Hee. I have absolutely no compunctions about finishing my games, because...I'll just start them again. XD This is my second Wind Waker game, fourth Majora's Mask game, fiftieth (or somewhere around there; I've lost count) Ocarina of Time game, and assuming I can find Link's Awakening, it'll be my fourth or so time playing through that.

I wish I had the original Zelda game. I wish I had an NES and SNES...

Hehe... I've done that with the original game, but not with Wind Waker, though I guess I could at this point, as I've taken a pretty long break from it, so it's not fresh in my head.

I LOVE the first Zelda SO much though. I've never actually finished Zelda 2. Link was frickin' tough. :/

Those are the only ones I've ever played. I have Ocarina of Time, I believe. I think it came with my Wind Waker game and I tried it once, but after Wind Waker, I was sort of spoiled for graphics and I didn't love it. I'll have to give it another shot.

Ocarina of Time is my FAVORITE Zelda game, and second favorite game ever. And I actually like the N64 graphics better than WW's cell shading. I don't really pay attention to graphics, though--if I did, I'd never have started playing the earlier Final Fantasy games, and I would have missed out on tons.

Play Ocarina of Time. Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant game.

(Besides that, Wind Waker is Ocarina of Time's sequel--Gannondorf is first sealed away in OoT, and there's the whole Triforce thing...OoT explains a bit about WW.)

I've not played Wind Waker yet! I really should buy it, as we have a copy at work for $30 and I get a 20% discount. I adore Ocarina of Time but really couldn't get into Majora's Mask. Like I need anything else to suck up my spare time, anyway. :)

*g* I adore Ocarina of Time as well, and like Majora's Mask well enough. MM is really action-packed and I nearly always hurrying somewhere when playing it, and that's rather fun. WW is somewhat tedious, as sailing all over the sea is somehow more tedious than just running across Hyrule Field, and I'm not all that fond of the graphics or the storyline, but it's a good enough game.
