There was

queerditch_pub today, and one of the prompts in the early round was "Voldemort/Harry - The Grinch and Cindy Lou Who". I played with the prompt--there is no actual Voldemort/Harry, but, well...ehehehe. Such fun. The last two couplets are sorta weird, but it was almost time, so I had to finish quickly.

It was Halloween for everyone in Godric’s Hollow
But holidays the Voldie did not like to follow.
All the witches and wizards—so happy they were
But the Voldie, obviously, did not concur.
“Curses!” he said, staring at the town.
“Now if I could just think of a way to bring them all down.
I want to depress them, and make them all cry;
I think I shall just make one of them die!
Wormtail,” he called, out into the night.
“Wormtail, come, you cursed traitor to Light!”
And Wormtail came, the Voldie’s faithful rat,
And the Voldie stepped over him like he was a doormat.
“Come,” the Voldie demanded, “with me.
We must go down there to stop all their glee!”
With a spring in his step, the Voldie went
Dreaming of death and destruction hell-bent
That would make the wizards cry, great tears
Pouring down their cheeks, because of their fears.
“Potter,” he said, once into the town,
And towards the Potters’ house the street he went down.
“They have a little baby,” he cackled out loud.
“Maybe I’ll kill it in front of a crowd!”
But when he got to the house, and looked at the kid,
And thought to himself, “I’ll just have to rid—”
But Harry looked at him with great wide green eyes
And the Voldie felt something inside of him die.
That something inside of him—evil, it was!
Harry’s sweet eyes, and that small head of fuzz
Caused him to gurgle and smile at the baby
“Later, I’ll kill him,” he thought, then, “Maybe
I won’t—he’s such a nice kid.”
And the Voldie went away, and never did
Again kill, because Harry was too sweet.
From then on, the Voldie killed only for meat.
