Gacked from [livejournal.com profile] thistlerose and [livejournal.com profile] many_miles_away (both of whom I love for their answers to #12. *g*)

1. What did you do in 2004 that you'd never done before?

Got a job. Well, an internship, and I'm not getting paid, but it's more than I did when I was just volunteering.

2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?

I don't do New Year's resolutions. I know I'll never keep them. *g*

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?

Nope.

4. Did anyone close to you die?

No, thank God.

5. What countries did you visit?

None, aside from my own...

6. What would you like to have in 2005 that you lacked in 2004?

A 4.0 GPA. :p

7. What date from 2004 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?

December 15th. Accepted into Puget Sound, yes! :D

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?

Being accepted into Puget Sound (which can be tied back to fandom, sorta...I wrote my entrance essay on fandom! :D)

9. What was your biggest failure?

Nothing that I don't continue throughout the years...I'm still a lazy ass.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?

The usual migraines, flus, and colds, plus getting my wisdom teeth out.

11. What was the best thing you bought?

Er. I don't really buy much. Books? *g*

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?

Whose didn't? :p But if I have to pick a single person...

[livejournal.com profile] anniesj, for holding up so well after her Sekkrit Service scare, and continuing to be the brave, kind, lovely person she is. <3

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?

Real life friends-who-shall-not-be-named.

14. Where did most of your money go?

...Books. :p

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?

ACCEPTED INTO PUGET SOUND!

Also, becoming eMentor, coder, and mod at FA, and list elf at HPfGU. :D

16. What song will always remind you of 2004?

I don't know. I'm bad with thinking of songs to match things.

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:

i. happier or sadder?

Happier. Definitely happier.

ii. thinner or fatter?

Neither really.

iii. richer or poorer?

Well, since most of my money is actually my parents'...neither.

18. What do you wish you'd done more of?

Talked to friends, just talked.

19. What do you wish you'd done less of?

Procrastinate. :p

20. How will you be spending Christmas?

With family, both mom's and dad's side.

22. Did you fall in love in 2004?

Nope.

23. How many one-night stands?

Being as I'm still too young to legally have sex (and whatever my feelings on reading about it, I don't want to break the law in actually doing it, even if I found someone I'd want to do it with), none.

24. What was your favorite TV program?

I didn't watch TV really.

25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?

I don't really hate anyone. There's people I dislike now that I liked well enough last year, but the less said about that, the better.

26. What was the best book you read?

Single book? o.O I don't know. Good Omens? Catch-22? Don't make me choose!

27. What was your greatest musical discovery?

Simon and Garfunkle, I think. Dunno, I listened to a lot of new music.

28. What did you want and get?

Acceptance into Puget Sound. *g*

30. What was your favorite film of this year?

*thinks of movies* Shrek 2, maybe. I didn't really watch many movies this year.

31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?

I went to school and then out to dinner. Seventeen.

32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?

Getting a 4.0, since I haven't done it since seventh grade. I'm such a lazy bum...

33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2004?

"Lack of."

34. What kept you sane?

You! :D

35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?

Johnny Depp. Ehehehehe.

36. What political issue stirred you the most?

Gay marriage. And religion. But religion ties into practically everything...

37. Who did you miss?

Hmmm. I dunno...

38. Who was the best new person you met?

Met in person? [livejournal.com profile] thistlerose! :D

Just met? This one's hard...I've met tons of wonderful people this year...I think maybe a tie between [livejournal.com profile] anniesj, [livejournal.com profile] violet_quill, [livejournal.com profile] idroppedarice, [livejournal.com profile] louve_mae (I think it was this year I met you, right?), and...dude, lots of other people.

39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2004:

Don't lie to friends. It really, really sucks.

40. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year:

This the time to remember,
Cause it will not last forever.
These are the days to hold on to,
Cause we won't although we'll want to.

Also, I was looking at Puget Sound's course of study and core requirements, and there's a math requirement. I hate math, but this requirement is not bad, because Puget Sound counts COMPUTER COURSES TOWARDS MATH CREDIT!

I am falling more and more in love with this school. :D:D:D
