My twin found out today that she's been accepted at her first-choice college.

A couple days ago, [livejournal.com profile] tinitinytina found out she was accepted at hers.

OMG PUGET SOUND I WANT TO KNOOOOOW.

Also: Remus? Pah! Who is this Remus?

I love Kenshin. *g*

Waiting for acceptance letters is one of most excruciating experiences of high school. Good luck!

*hopes really hard for you*

I still think you'll be accepted. I'm just glad I'm done and over with even though it'll be on the other end of the country from where I live. And I have no friends going with me. :( Oh well.

Where'd your sister get accepted to?

Going without friends is a good way to go. It might be slightly terrifying, but it'll force you to make new friends!

And [livejournal.com profile] rynne? I'm sure you'll be just fine. >:D

Well, I'm totally ready for a new environment, and Chicago is about as different as I can get from Texas. If I wanted to attend a school with friends, I'd go to the state school everyone applies to since 1) I'm guaranteed admissions (in fact, I received that acceptance letter today) and 2) I'm guaranteed to have friends.

What I really want, though, is to go to a school far away in a strange environment but with 1 or 2 close friends, just the ones that I've either known for a really long time or can't bear to lose.

Not only would it bring comfort in a strange place, but it'll be nice to have at least one person understand what I'm talking about when I drag up old memories.

But I'm definitely ready for a change in environment and new friends though. And oh dear, I've spammed Rynne's LJ yet again.

I didn't know you were from Texas! What school, if you don't mind my asking? I was at A&M last year, randomly.

UT Austin. It's the school almost everyone applies to; my friends and I do it because we're guaranteed admission, so it's a safety school.

I live up in north Texas, but my dad got his masters at A&M, so I lived in College Station for a few years. It's a great college town.

I'm actually sorta glad my friends are coming with me--I rather want to start all over. *g*

Twin is going to Northern Arizona University (NAU). It's sorta weird--I've never not gone to school with her...
