rynne: (drop your sword! (thistlerose))

So, I showed this poll and comments to my twin, and now I've actually seen someone rolling on the floor laughing their ass off. Seriously. We get about halfway through the comments and she just collapses on my floor and laughs hysterically. For at least a minute. And then we read further and she does it again.

Dude, ROTFLMAO. ^_~

In other news, today was my last swordfighting class of the year; we start up again in February. Know what this means? I CAN DO QUEERDITCH LATE ROUND NOW! :D:D:D I'll always be late thanks to dinner, but at least I won't miss it completely.

Anyway, thanks to [livejournal.com profile] violet_quill linking to these gorgeous pictures of Good Omens characters, I've been overcome with this gigantic urge to read GO fanfic.

So. Recs, please?

Don't just say [livejournal.com profile] copperbadge or [livejournal.com profile] ariastar (I've read all their GO stuff anyway *g*) or [livejournal.com profile] daegaer. Specific recs would be brilliant. Especially if they're Crowley/Aziraphale.

I've been looking through [livejournal.com profile] lower_tadfield, but there's quite a bit there, and I don't have time to go looking through everything. So give me specific recs and I will love you heartily.

And walk among long dappled grass,
And pluck till time and times are done
The silver apples of the moon,
The golden apples of the sun.

I love W.B. Yeats and I am going to use that part of The Song of the Wandering Aengus in a fic some time.

ETA: Just because I was thinking about it, my three favorite pairings, and OTPs in their respective fandoms, are:

Remus/Sirius (Harry Potter)
Cloud/Sephiroth (Final Fantasy VII)
Crowley/Aziraphale (Good Omens)

That will be all. I think I might go find out information on Advent Children or the Kingdom Hearts sequel now...

OH OH OH [livejournal.com profile] irisbleu OMG BEST GO EVER.

*finds links*

The Last Tempation of Crowley, Grace Period, The Battle's Other Half. It's a trilogy, all C/A.

And then there's How Many Hail Marys?, which is C/A and Newt/Anathema. She's got some ficlets floating around too, but this should keep you busy for a while, anyway(and I don't have those bookmarked).

And *reads poll* OHGOD, the worst superhero responses? I AM SO DEAD. I haven't actually laughed out loud over something online in such a long time before that.

I recommend [livejournal.com profile] afrai (although actually she uses [livejournal.com profile] bravecows now, but her stuff is archived at the first link).

This is short and beautiful and painful. So afterwards read this, which is hilarious.

I assume you've read [livejournal.com profile] daegaer's Ordinary People, in which case I recommend the remix.

Here is a Dogma/Good Omens crossover I loved. *g*

Hopefully you haven't seen all of these!

Also, how weird is it that I find someone on my flist has posted Yeats poetry, just after I've started going through my Complete Works and underlining my favourite bits? I think I'm going to have to write something based on Ephemera.

[livejournal.com profile] afrai's stuff is locked, so I can't get to it. Any alternate links?

And I've read the Dogma/GO crossover. Loki and Bartleby and Crowley and Aziraphale? Last Scion meets the Anti-Christ? Too, too amusing. *g*

And Yeats = <3.

heh

[livejournal.com profile] ladyjaida's Berkeley Square (http://www.livejournal.com/users/ladyjaida/345170.html#cutid1) is gorgeous. It's actually the only GO fic I've read (though I'd like to read more) and it's beautiful. (Also, since reading it, I've really wanted to write some Crowley/Aiziraphale. *muses*)
