In which I torture Sirius
Nov. 8th, 2004 09:25 pmWellllll, aren't I being productive? A fic, a poem-thingy, and now a ficlet, all within three days. Don't get used to it. :p
Title: Warm
Summary: In which Sirius loses arguments with his stubborn body parts, and Remus is too solicitous for his comfort.
Rating: R
When Remus smiled, the heavens opened up and angels floated down, singing and playing harps sweetly.
Shut up, Sirius snarled at his brain. I don’t need purple prose coming from you.
And Remus would probably be gorgeous with no clothes on, when he wasn’t exhausted from the transformation. He was a little on the thin side, but with a nice, firm, well-round arse…
You too, Sirius snarled at his cock, which ignored him and continued to imagine Remus’s naked backside.
And when Remus stopped his studying, and stood up and stretched, images of Remus’s naked front side joined those of his naked backside, and Sirius could have sworn that his cock twitched.
He buried his face in his arms and groaned.
Of course, that would be when a hand descended on his shoulder, and he looked up to see Remus gazing at him in concern.
“You all right, Sirius?” Remus asked. “You made an odd noise.”
Sirius blinked, and tried not to stare at the lock of hair curled on Remus’s forehead. Or the way that his lips were parted and Sirius could just see his tongue right beyond them. Or the perfect curve of his neck.
He stared anyway.
“Sirius?” Remus squeezed his shoulder, and Sirius resisted the dual urge to either knock Remus’s hand away to make Remus’s proximity stop doing—things—to his pulse rate, or to grab Remus’s nicely proffered arm and pull the other boy down into his lap.
Sirius whimpered. Remus looked puzzled.
“Are you feeling ill?” Remus asked, moving in front of Sirius and leaning over him to place a hand on his forehead. “You feel warm…”
Of course I feel warm, Sirius wanted to growl, and it’s all because of you. If you weren’t so…so…you, then I wouldn’t have this problem!
But he didn’t say anything. He was just glad that the table he was sitting at hid his lower body from view, because he didn’t need Remus to notice that.
“Do you have a fever?” Remus continued. “You know, Sirius, I told you that you would regret not wearing a coat or scarf out in the snow today…” Remus leaned closer.
Sirius almost jumped in his seat, but didn’t dare stand up. “I’m fine!” he said, in a loud voice. “Fine! No fever, none at all!”
Remus looked at him suspiciously. “You sure?” he asked dubiously. “You want to go lie down in the dorm, or something?”
The dorm. The nice empty dorm. With no one in it. Especially not Remus. He could…take care of things in private.
Brilliant idea.
Sirius shot up. “Good idea!” he shouted behind him at Remus as he ran for the stairs. Remus looked taken aback at how quickly he was moving, but he wasn’t going to give Remus any chance to see what spurred his haste. Especially not in the public common room. Ack.
But, as he practically flew up the stairs, Sirius thought he noticed a tiny smile on Remus’s face. Then he reached the safety of the dorm and decided not to think about it any more.

Date: 2004-11-08 10:14 pm (UTC)But I love the fic. And it's making me feel a lot better despite the fact that I'm sick, it's after midnight, and I have to have this written and memorized by lunch tomorrow. Woe is me. But thank you so very much for writing this. *hugs* You have no idea how much I needed something like this right now.

*snorts*
This was fun. Hope your applications and all that turn out okay. There is nothing worse than trying to express how wonderful you are, unless its a form application for something important - unless its a resume - trying to fill an 8x11 sheet of paper with your life and why you are worthy of employment. *that was a little rant, huh?*
Good luck! and get back to work!
