It's the DAY BEFORE ELECTION DAY, and Cheney's in Sparks.

THE DAY BEFORE ELECTION DAY, and the Vice President is speaking in Nevada?

Are Nevada's five electoral votes really that important?

*sigh* Yeah, I guess they are.

GO BLUE, NEVADA, GO BLUE!

I'm going to DIE tonight, waiting. This is the first election that I care about, and oh my God I'm afraid of what Bush will do with this country if it's him. Or rather, his Administration.

AMERICA PLEASE VOTE KERRY PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE.

Is it selfish of me to say that I want Kerry to be elected so I don't have to write Remus/Snape? :p

Though you know, I think about how most of the world prefers Kerry to Bush, and I want people who vote for Bush to think about that too. It just says something to me when most of the world hates one particular administration, and maybe I'm naive, but I think that the world's opinion should indeed matter to the American people.

Gah. I'm going to go fret myself into PIECES and ignore NaNo now.

See, I'm going the OMGDON'TTHINKABOUTITUNTILTOMORROWOMG way. It's not really working very well, but yeeeeeeah. Just think how jittery we'll all be tomorrow. >.<

ANYWAY. What're you doing Nano on?

...If I'm not online tomorrow, look for the GIGANTIC PILE OF QUIVERING NERVES somewhere in the middle of the desert. :p

Ahahaha I was going to do my NaNo with original girlslash set in the middle of Nevada (aka NOWHERE) only I decided that I didn't want to do the research that would be required to get enough material to write that much, so I'm just doing fanfic. Ridiculously complicated R/S get-together fic too. *g*

......but you live in Nevada. How does that-- oh, unless you would have had it in the part where you don't live? *maybe gets it*

Ahaha. Ever heard of Winnemucca? Nowhere town about halfway between Reno and Elko (and if you don't know Elko, it's in the Northeast). I was going to randomly set it there, just because I've been there once and it's nowhere, but still Nevada so I know it relatively well, but I really am too lazy to actually research it so. :p

Always a good plan. The less research, the better! (Well, at least when you're churning out a novel in a month. I'm sure it's good in general, whatever.)

The fact that Bush isn't liked by the international community means shit to most Bush supporters.

You know. "Well, at least Bush -- unlike Kerry -- won't be swayed from his VERY GOOD POSITIONS just because other countries say so! America stays firm! America rules the world! America -- "

... BS like that.

*sigh* I know it doesn't mean shit to Bush supporters. That's why I wish it did. Gah.

I'm going to get very, very twitchy in the next couple days, I'm sure.

Germany has already said that if Kerry becomes president, they'll consider giving us some troops out there. Something along those lines. And if Germany does it, maybe France will follow...

I mean, in the Gulf War, the French gave us something like 17,000 troops? And lots of machinery and all that other good (er. well, necessary) stuff?

bah.

WE NEED SOME SERIOUS CHANGE IN THIS COUNTRY. I don't know how anyone can ignore that. Worse is, I don't think a Kerry administration will be drastically different than a Bush. Just hopefully - hopefully - better.

*bites nails*

I'm waiting for the recount. Florida, Ohio, wherever. Oy.

My European history teacher took an informal poll today in all of his classes, asking between Bush and Kerry, who would we vote.

Despite the fact that Texas is guaranteed to vote Bush, despite the fact that Texas is a Republican stronghold, and despite the fact that my county is VERY conservative and Republican, more people in his classes voted Kerry (me included).

Is that not comforting?

Well Im from Europe, Id be very happy if Kerry wins. I dont think Ive seen anybody who supports Bush here. Honestly, Im scared for another 4 years of Bush.
Ive been looking for a site where I can see the results asap, but I cant find one.
*sad*
