Sorry for RL post, but I'm flippin' tired
Oct. 30th, 2004 11:38 pmSo I went to a Halloween party tonight (I won't be able to do anything tomorrow night--stupid swordfighting teacher says that there will still be class, and it's Sunday evenings...), and it was fun enough--all the boys there? Their costumes were girls, balloon breasts and all, which they kept rubbing and touching and stuff all throughout the night.
But it was driving home that was the problem. See, less than a week ago my car went in for its maintainance that the makers say has to happen every so often. It comes back, and the next time I drive it, which happens to be at six-thirty in the morning and therefore still dark...I turn on the headlights and the dashboard lights are far dimmer than they should be. I think, WTF, weren't they supposed to be fixing things, not breaking them? So I tell parents and they make a new appointment to get it fixed, and I don't worry about it.
But then tonight, eleven-fifteen, I'm driving home, and there are no dashboard lights. I couldn't even see what gear I put the car into until we got to a stop sign, when I put on the lights in the car and saw that it was second rather than drive and fixed it. And I couldn't see how fast I was going. Scared the SHIT out of me. Tomorrow when I go to swordfighting, I'm taking my dad's car, because I'm not going to drive in the dark with no dashboard lights anymore--scares me too much, and I don't want to drive when I'm scared.
Also? OH MY FUCKING GOD, WHAT THE FUCK IS WITH PEOPLE WHO CAN'T SPELL "RYNNE" CORRECTLY WHEN ON THE INTERNET AND IT IS THEREFORE SPELLED RIGHT IN FRONT OF THEM?
I'll have to miss part of
queerditch_pub tomorrow too, because I've got a friend coming over to work on a government project with me. Though it shouldn't be that hard--our project is that we have to watch and report on a "race"--local or federal congressional race, or whatever--and we had to do it with partners, and since my friend and I knew we were going to be partners first, we got to choose which race we wanted to watch, and picked the presidential. Have to watch and report on the most publicised race in the country (probably the world) and ahahaha it'll be easy. WHICH IS GOOD, because I'm...not doing so well in Government.
I have a headache, and I'm going to bed. Happy Halloween, and don't forget
halloweenfics!

Date: 2004-10-31 12:07 am (UTC)I'm still more upset that she spelled my name wrong when it's right in front of her. ASkjgskdf. People spell my name wrong more often than they spell it right, so I should be used to it, I suppose, but it always annoys me...

Date: 2004-10-31 12:36 am (UTC)I have a character named Rhinn in an original story I've been on for...um, longer than I are to say. (He's a really gorgeous guy...extremely angsty though. So, quite typical in many respects. ^_^ ) But I think I've always spelled your name correctly. Hope so, anyway. I hate when people misspell or mispronounce my name. It's my name, dammit.
