Training and random stuff

Well, I've managed to survive my first time training someone. And my trainee survived too. And I don't think I forgot anything important. *sigh of relief* It makes me feel so much better, to have it done. Especially as I remember going through my own training session very well, being as it was only about four months ago. But I think I did well.

Everyone whose fic I still need to beta, I will do it tomorrow, before I go to work. If you don't have it by tomorrow, poke me. Hard. I've been very tired lately, but not so much that I can't take care of my responsibilities.

thistlerose, my mom was going on about how nice you are to my dad at dinner tonight. *g* Now that one internet friend definitely has her stamp of approval, maybe she will let me go visit others...*starts making plans to fly to Atlanta*

Two more gmail invites left. Invites for sale, get your invites here! (...And everywhere else, apparently.) Am too lazy to go to gmail_invite with them (though thanks, allisonblair, for pointing that community out), so I shall probably just continually advertise them here until they're gone.

casirafics is a goddess and I love her writing style. Now if only I can comment properly on them...will do it tomorrow :p.

I'd take a gmail invite, if you have any left. Though I'm not quite sure what the deal is with them, yet. It's just...another email account?

Oh, and I was thinking of trying to plan something for sort of a LJ Remus/Sirius fanatic get-together for maybepossiblyhopefully this coming (long time) summer. There are beach houses for rent for a week down in Florida. Kind of expensive, really...but not when split between the number of people that would stay there. A six person beach house? Maybe a $1000 for the WEEK, so that's, what, less than $200 a piece for an entire week vacation? (plus food and a plane ticket/car ride, though) There are some bigger houses for rent, too - costs about the same or cheaper per person. Seriously, I might just do it. Do you think they might let you? (Because, of course, if I had to invite nine or even five other people to come, you'd be one of them.)

I just found out my email provider is regularly bouncing emails from one of the publications I've submitted stories to, which means I have no idea if they've accepted or rejected me, very annoying. So an alternate email would be a Very Good Thing.
