I got my schedule today. It is messed up, and there is absolutely nothing I can do, if I want to keep all the classes I'm taking (all four of them :p)

0--AP Government
1--AP English
3--AP Statistics

I do not have a second period. Nor do I have a fourth, fifth, or sixth, but I'm not supposed to, as that's when Japanese at UNR is.

BUT I HAVE A ZERO PERIOD WAH. It's the one thing that I did not want my senior year, and I have to either have it or drop Japanese, as the only other time AP Gov is offered is in the middle of Japanese (and regular non-AP Gov is so not an option). But school and first period start at 7:55, and zero period starts at 6:55. Meaning I have to be up every day at 6:00. For a lazy teenager who likes to sleep to 2:00 PM, this sucks. Dammit.

Both my favorite pair of shoes and my sandals broke, so I can't wear either of those. Bah.

My friends are all going up to Lake Tahoe to spend time on the beach and generally have fun. They wanted me to go, but me? I have work. Bah.

I had swordfighting tonight, and it was a movie class, so we didn't have to dress in uniform. I figured that it's summer, it's supposed to be warm, and wore shorts and a t-shirt. SO NOT WARM. VERY COLD, IN FACT. And the movies were just like instruction videos and not all that interesting really. BAH.

FictionAlley ate my post to Wolfstar, and I was in a hurry to get to swordfighting so I didn't save it. Bah.

LJ, why the hell are you giving me comments from June now? Why couldn't I have gotten them in, oh, say, June? Bah!

On the other hand, today was my dad's birthday, and my mom accidentally bought a pack of trick candles and used 'em all on his cake, so they kept coming back after he'd blown them out several times. It was amusing. :p

Nope, not the best of days today. And now I think I'm too tired to answer comments and emails, but I will. Eventually.

Five more days until Santa Cruz, and two-and-a-half more weeks before meeting [livejournal.com profile] thistlerose! *bounces*

Good night.

Oh. My. My period zero is 7:55 am and I thought that was bad!

Zero period? We don't have that. Is there -1 period, too?

6:55, though? Ouch.

Regular school starts at that time, and sixth period ends at 2:30 (though I get out of school at 10:50 HAH! Zero period is good for getting me out of school early, at least, though I would have preferred sleeping later...). What time does your school end?

-1? Whassat? Zero period is a (usually) optional class time before school. Someone with a zero period would go 0-1-2-3-4-5-6 (unless they're a senior, in which case they can drop up to three of those classes). Is that what -1 is like?

6:55 is very ouch. >.< I better get used to it, though. *sigh*

It depends what day it is. On Mondays I start at 8:55 and finish at 1:20 pm. On Tuesdays through to Fridays I start at 7:55. Finish at 5:45 pm on Tuesday and 12:20 pm on Wednesdays. It's 3:15 on Thursdays and Fridays. I also have a minimum of one free class everyday and they go for about an hour and a quarter, so they can be (and have been) used for nap time if needed, especially when I have a double free.

...Confusing schedule. We're 7:55 to 2:30, every day unless there's testing, and a schedule may be different if you have a zero period or a seventh period (we're first through sixth usually), or are a senior and only have to take four classes. I'm so glad I'm going into senior year...

Oh, you poor, poor thing. I thought it was hard enough starting at 8.30 everyday.

But, WTF is with the weird time system? It's just wrong. Making teenagers get up that early...(says she who slept into noon every day on the holidays)

Hey, Lake Tahoe! Where (generally) are you from?

God, 0 period sounds like some sort of hell.

6:55?! Wow. Poor you. But at least I guess you finish early-ish...

Well, getting up and going to school early means that we get out early, I guess. At my school, freshmen, sophomores, and juniors with normal, six-period-a-day schedules go from 7:55 to 2:30, though they can add a zero period or a seventh period. Seniors are allowed to have only four classes, which can be distributed in a variety of ways--mine happen to be early in the morning, but it means that I'm done at 11 AM instead of 2:30 PM, which is good, I guess.

Zero period is some sort of hell. >.<

I'm from Reno, Nevada (I don't mind saying, it's in my profile, and I talk about it sometimes), which is just about an hour away from Tahoe. Where are you from (generally :p), that you know about it? It's not the most famous lake in the world...:p

It's going to kill me, I bet--I had trouble enough with normal 7:55...*sigh* But yes, I do finish nearly three hours before everyone else...:D

Can I sympathize with the scheduling? The counseling office at my school knows absolutely NOTHING and they never get anything right! I need to change my schedule because I got onto the academic decathlon team (sort of) and my teacher told us to tell them to change it. Instead they're all "Your teacher needs to do it. We'll tell you the first day of school." There's this little thing called buying books they tend to forget about! Honestly! And I have no idea how many APs they're gonna make me drop for this *sigh*. Anyway, I totally know where you're coming from.

How many APs did you take last year? (oh, and I friended you because... I felt like it :P)

How odd--in my county at least, it's always the counselors who make schedule changes. 'S one of their jobs, and all the teachers do is teach.

Last year I took three AP classes (and passed all three tests, whee! :D). Three again this year, but only because I don't want to take any more science...*makes a face*

Yay for passing all of them! I took two, and I was so scared that I called in to see if I passed. I did, which caused a major happy dance. I'm taking way too many this year... but oh well.

And yes, theoretically the counselors are supposed to do scheduling, but my school is insane. Nothing ever works the way it's supposed to *shakes head*
