So, I was thinking, and I probably shouldn't be doing this, as I have tons of challenges of my own to write, but anyway, I was wondering. Mostly inspired by [livejournal.com profile] musesfool's lyrics and Psalm challenges (which I need to finish, oi), as well as my own urge to see Julius Caesar again *g*.

Would anyone be interested in a Shakespearean line challenge? As in, you comment and tell me you're interested, I open the good ol' Complete Works of William Shakespeare, find some random lines out of some random play or sonnet, and you write a fic based on those lines? Any fandom you want, though I am of course most familiar with HP :p. No deadline because I hate them ^_~.

Has anyone done this before? And even if someone has, would anyone still be interested?

And if you are, please pimp ^_^. I want as many people to know about this and participate as possible.

And now that we've got actual fics...the Master List. Also, its new community, which you should join and/or friend--[livejournal.com profile] shakespeare_ch

Ok so no deadline definitely works for me, and I still want to write you something for your birthday, even though I know it wasn't really your birthday, but the idea has gotten stuck in my head now and hey now you're getting two birthday fics out of it but ANYWAY! The point behind all the late night rambling is that a) I love you; b) I miss you; c) for some reason I'm really tickled that you're doing your own challenge; d) I'll do it! It'll probably wind up being mailed to you, but whatever. <#!!!

That what we have we prize not to the worth
Whiles we enjoy it, but being lack’d and lost,
Why, then we rack the value; then we find
The virtue that possession would not show us
Whiles it was ours.
