...babble

Okay, so coded twenty-three fics today. Somewhere around four or so of them already had review threads, made by the author, and apparently the author just forgot to put the urls in the submissions form. Grrr. Stupid authors. The whole point of making the threads yourselves is so that we don't have to do it for you and then code the fic to put the url in, but there's not much difference between coding a fic with a thread we made and coding a fic with a thread the author made and didn't put in. Every time that happened, I felt like finding the author and shaking them. Stupid authors.

Also, a possible spreeing problem in the SCUSA Staff forum, which I'm hesitant to bring up in S&Q because it's nearly impossible to tell if it's really a problem or not. I mean, I'm the one who usually updates the staff list for the Wolfstar, so I check the Staff forum at least once a day. And sometimes I'll see all these threads on the first page, and their last posts will all be by the same person. Posts count in the Ship Staff forum, so joining a bunch of ships even if you don't intend to post on the actual SCUSA thread is an easy way to up your post count. But really, the thing is that you never know if someone's spreeing to up their post count, or if they really are interested in and want to join those ships. Or maybe they'll be interested in them for awhile before they lose interest--God knows that's happened to me, where I was just really curious about a ship and joined the staff and lurked on the SCUSA thread and then lost interest later. But it's also that the Staff forum is one place where one-liners are allowed, because all it's for is for claiming a position on a ship and anything more than just the desired position is probably off-topic, hence the one-liner. So it's a forum where people are allowed to do one-liner spreeing. But like I said before, it's impossible to tell if someone's spreeing or if they're really interested in all those ships, so really, what kind of action can be taken? It's why I'm not sure about bringing it up in S&Q, because I don't have a suggestion, just a possible problem. *sigh* And someone's probably thought of this before.

Also, I'm sorta wondering if I should be guilty about taking on so many shifts for eMentors. I mean, I'm on shift six right now (*checks time* Right now, in fact), and have signed up for seven, and eMentors only need three each month. But I've been consistently doing seven ever since March, which was my second month on the job. And well, damn, I like eMentoring and I like feeling so helpful, especially now that Sabs and Anya have made me an "eMentor special agent" because of all the work I've been doing, but I still feel...dunno. I sorta wonder if any of the oldbie eMentors are a bit resentful because I'm so new and I've already gotten a Merlin Order of Merit twice. But you know, I don't want to feel guilty for working hard and putting in effort to do my job well, because that's just sorta stupid. And I'm probably worrying over nothing, but still. eMentors are supposed to sign up for three shifts and aside from my first month when I was still getting used to being one, I've done seven--over twice what's required. And I remember either Sabs or Anya telling us to leave some shifts for the reserves to do because what else are they there for, but I still manage to do seven in a month and wonder if that's a good thing or not. And you know, I like getting the recognition for putting so much time into this, but I don't want anyone to feel resentful or anything because I'm so new.

Okay. Enough FA babble.

Hmmm...I seem to have forgotten to tell you people about the [livejournal.com profile] pervy_werewolf stuff I've written in the past few days. Let's see...Friday's was Remus/Peter with a twist, Saturday's was angsty Remus/Sirius, yesterday's was a more fluffy Remus/Sirius, and today's was amusing James/Remus/Sirius. Actually an excerpt from my J/R/S WiP, so [livejournal.com profile] girlinthe_snow, you might want to go read that *g* as I believe you were the one who wanted it most. Though in the original, there's no smut :p.

Dude. One more week left in that whole challenge and then I'll be free to work on other stuff. It's...rather amazing that I'm still in the game--I'm one of like ten people left even though thirty-some started. And dude, I don't even write smut that often...o.O Well, it's certainly been a challenge so far. And I'm just stubborn enough to keep going until the end *g*.

And Laocoon's Children has been updated and oh my fucking God, Draco Malfoy is the cutest thing EVER. <333 And you know, I normally...heartily dislike Draco Malfoy. And dude, Sam made me think that Draco's the most adorable thing ever and made me like him. Wah.

But anyway, I am now humongously tired, so I will go to bed. [livejournal.com profile] thistlerose, sorry I've been so late with your fic, but I'll get it done tomorrow, promise! And [livejournal.com profile] sprky007, I'll get comments on your snippet to you tomorrow as well. Er. Once I'm done with my shift, that is ^^;.

Here's a little Footpad to cheer you. :) (Oh, wait, I think you have this icon...)

Isn't LC!Draco the cutest???? "It's yellow!" *LOVES* I don't like canon!Draco at all. Sam's done such an amazing job with these characters.

Anyway, don't worry about the fic. I mean, don't let it drive you crazy or anything. I know you're busy. But if you could help me think of a title, that would rock in so many ways...
