Fic submission is working again. And we just got all the fics from Thursday and Friday.

Nearly 300 total.

Wah.

And I was there when they started pouring in--one second, AstronomyTower was at 20-something, then it just kept jumping at least 10 for the next minute or so, capping off at 90 something. o.O Schnoogle and The Dark Arts weren't much better, ending at 60-something and 80-something respectively. Ohhh it's going to take awhile to get all that done...

But as I was there before like anyone else, I was able to claim submissions from thistlerose and marauderthesn and copperbadge, all of which were things I hadn't read before. *smug* (and they've all moved on now, in case they're wondering :p)

So I've really actually been having a pretty good day.

The best thing was, I think, me getting another Merlin Order of Merit award for doing seven shifts for the second month in a row (which I'm doing this month too o.O and it might even be eight as I did madilayn's shift today because her computer has a virus). And eMentors only have to do three--that's more than twice the required shifts. So this other eMentor (who did the same thing) and I were asked to be "eMentor special agents" to help out Sabs and Anya with shifts that didn't get done and stuff like that. *squees quietly* God I love being an eMentor :D.

Though another very very cool thing was when the person who coded and uploaded my nine submissions to restrictedsection.org (mostly pervy_werewolf stuff) emailed me to tell me how much she enjoyed those fics. She said that she doesn't even like NC-17 stuff much and that it's rare that she likes what she codes (and oh I know the feeling...), but that she enjoyed all nine of my stories so much that she had to email me to tell me (and they aren't even up at the site yet! *amazed*).

:D It's things like these, with the "eMentor special agent" and that lovely email, that make me glad of how active I am in this fandom. Screw fandom wank and all that junk--this fandom can be such a lovely place to be. Which reminds me. For all you people at FA who like it there, post here and tell the mods how much you appreciate it! A little recognition can go a long way :D.

Also, for anyone who's been reading these things, tonight's smutlet can be found here. Wankfic, completely without pairings :p. It's sorta...weird, though.

Congratulations on the recognition. Goodness knows you people deserve it. That's why I love FA. With all the editing involved, at least the trashier shit is raked out. *bows to the almighty FA team*

I've always wanted to be an editor...pity I don't have the time nor the skills to outshine some of the people who work for FA.

And I can't wait to see the new fics from Thistlerose and Sam! I don't think I've ever read any of marauderthesn's works though. That'll have to be remedied!

Yay for the lovely email! No wonder you feel good! You've earned it! Oh, and thank you so much for the extra effort ementoring and coding. All of this on top of your own work and real life. You deserve thanks as well. One more thank you for putting up that thread to the mods. I've gone and added my thanks, though I think you expressed it beautifully. It was a lovely idea.
