I really like Jo. :D She seems the most like me out of all the companions I've seen so far.
I have plenty of Classic Who ships, but the old stuff does nothing to change the relationship between the Doctor and Rose, except providing more info on his past.
It doesn't change it, no, but it does change my perspective of it. Before I started watching Classic Who, I figured that hey, people left the Doctor all the time, that had to hurt. But it was abstract, you know? Then I watched The Green Death, and seeing him go off on his own at the end seriously tugged a heartstring. It made me really appreciate Rose's desire to stay with him forever, because he's never had that before (the closest, I think, is Susan, but of course that's different), and watching the old series, I can see the seeds of him wanting it.
I want to get my hands on more Three&Jo serials, partly because I like both of them and partly because I want to understand their relationship better. I don't think I'll ship, though, unless earlier serials completely negate the paternal vibe I got.
