27 reasons to love Rose Tyler

So a few days ago someone posted an entry full of Rose-hate. I wouldn't have noticed if my flist hadn't been commenting on it, and I haven't read it, because reading hate about my favorite characters makes me sad. But one good thing that has come from this post is that it seems to have inspired a bunch of people to post about why they love Rose, and those make me happy.
I'm a bit late to the bandwagon on this, but I wanted to post as well. These are by no means the only reasons I love Rose, but they definitely contribute to why I think she's awesome. One for each episode she's in!

1. She's extremely observant.

She notices things the Doctor misses. This is part of what makes them such great partners.
2. She's very intuitive

She recognizes that she pushed him a bit too far, and knows what to do to fix it.
3. She's not a damsel in distress

First she throws a vase at the zombies coming towards her, then she yells at the man responsible for locking her in with zombies in the first place.
4. She doesn't let the Doctor get too full of himself

"Patrick Moore?" Nice ego-puncturing, Rose! XD
5. She can see the big picture

Rose is usually the one who focuses on the smaller details, but here the positions are reversed. The Doctor hesitates to do what's necessary because, as he tells Jackie, "I can't guarantee your daughter will be safe." Rose tells him to do it. She doesn't even know what it is, but she tells him to do it, because she won't put herself above the rest of the world.
6. She cares about others before herself

"It's not your fault." She's about to die, and she's focused on reassuring the Doctor.
7. She's willing to try new things

She has no hesitation in trying this drink when she doesn't know what it is, and doesn't mind that it ends up being a weird flavor like beef.
8. She can admit being wrong and take responsibility

She acknowledges that this mess is her fault, and apologizes.
9. She's not afraid to do her own thing, even when it backfires

The Doctor may be investigating, but she prioritizes finding that child above being with him.
10. She's very trustworthy

Even though Nancy's known the Doctor longer and has had only one conversation with Rose, that single conversation made enough of an impression on her that it's Rose she calls for, not the Doctor.
11. She loves the TARDIS too

Rose is stroking the TARDIS! I'm sorry, but I love that. XD
12. She has faith

Though she's alone and trapped in the middle of the Dalek fleet, when the Doctor says he's going to rescue her, she believes him.
13. She gives up the power of the Vortex

She had the power of a goddess, and she gave it up. This is power that tempts the Doctor, in School Reunion, and she released it because he asked her.
14. She does her best even when she's terrified

She doesn't know what she's doing, and probably doesn't think it will work, but she does it anyway.
15. She loves this life

She loves this life just as much as he does, and it's good for both of them.
16. She's curious

She tries to understand the werewolf, even when everyone else is terrified of it.
17. She's emotionally as well as physically brave

She questions the Doctor about what she is to him. Now that she's met Sarah Jane, she knows he might give an answer she doesn't like, but she still asks.
18. She's gracious even to romantic rivals

She's gracious to Reinette even when Reinette is condescending, and despite whatever the Doctor might feel for her.
19. She's stubborn

She's determined to see alt!Pete, and doesn't back down even in the face of the Doctor's vehement disapproval.
20. She'll risk her life for people she loves

She's determined to save alt!Jackie, even though it puts her in a lot of danger.
21. She gives second chances.

She wants Tommy to go after his dad, despite how nasty Mr. Connolly's been.
22. The Doctor is more important to her than the traveling

"Stuck with you, that's not so bad." I think it's wonderful for the Doctor to have someone who cares about him more than what he can do.
23. She doesn't hesitate to take charge when necessary.

When the Doctor's cut off, she refuses to let everyone give in to panic. She takes charge and figures out how to get them out of there safely.
24. She's very protective

Elton upsets her mother, so she has to go chew him out. Hah!
25. She listens

When the Doctor was rambling about edible ball bearings, she was finding the mystery of the week, but she was listening to him well enough to get him this.
26. She won't be left behind

The Doctor grabs Jackie instead of her, but Rose still decides to investigate on her own.
27. She saves the world

Letting go of the magnaclamp to grab that lever was extremely risky, and she ended up being separated from the Doctor, but she still did it, because it needed to be done.
They aren't the only reasons I love Rose, but they are some of the things that stand out to me, when I watch these episodes.
