Mar. 1st, 2008 10:54 pmRemix assignments were handed out! Am very pleased with mine. :D God, I love this fest.
In real life news: this coming Friday, I'm leaving for Thailand. Going to visit my younger sister, whee! Definitely not looking forward to the plane ride (I hate flying, and this is halfway across the world, across several time zones. Gah), but I've always wanted to go to Asia. I can't wait!
School is going to be a bit of a bother, though. I'm going to be gone a week and a half, the full week of which is my mom's spring break (she's a high school teacher), which is why we're going then. But UNR's spring break isn't until two weeks later, so I'm going to miss a week and a half of school, have one day of classes when I get back, then I get another week off for spring break. And normally I'm all for time off, especially since these are 100-level classes and are rather easy--but one of the days I'm gone is the day of the midterm in one of my classes.
It wasn't originally. At first the midterm was scheduled for the 6th, which is the day before I leave. Except last Thursday the teacher was sick and canceled class. I was happy, 'cause, yay no class!, but then I realized what that would do to the midterm. So I emailed the teacher, and she told me, yeah, extenuating circumstances, I can do a make-up exam. Which is good. It's just a bit of a bother. :p
Last night, Red Lobster was having a lobsterfest or something, so we went out to eat. Also, my parents saw fit to remind me both that Thailand has no specified legal drinking age, and that I will be 21 in six months. I was like, I'M AWARE OF THAT, THANKS. XD

Date: 2008-03-02 06:54 pm (UTC)My sister warned me about the humidity. Do you remember how curly my hair is? I just know it's going to practically explode. *sigh* It always does in really humid areas.
I'm definitely looking forward to the food. My mom even signed us up to take a cooking lesson, so I think that'll be fun!
