sometimes I hate my computer

Sigh.

So, my power cord finally died so much that I couldn't get it to work even with fiddling with it. My battery didn't last long after that. My computer won't turn on anymore, and the tech guys can't do anything with hardware; they said I'll need to buy a new cord from the manufacturer, or something like that.

Thank you for doing that, computer, when I had several different papers that I needed to print out, and now will have to reproduce somehow.

I'm in the library computer lab, which I guess I'll have to be using until I leave, which means that I'll probably be online even less often than I have been in the past several days. But thankfully, it is finals week, and after I leave on Sunday, I'm home for three and a half months. I will have to get a job, but I should still finally have enough time to write a bunch of fic.

Dunno when comments will be answered, or when I'll get to comment on various fics that I've been meaning to read.

I'm totally not amused at how much use my "technology sucks" tag is getting lately.

I was randomly surfing LJ and I came across your post and thought I could help.

Just out of curiosity... Do you have a Dell? I have an Inspiron 5150 and the same sort of thing happened, only it turned out to be a problem with the internals of the computer. I have a website of some people who helped me fix it for less than $2,500, which is what Dell was demanding. www.laptoprescuer.com or something like that. Regardless of the brand, they may be able to do something a little cheaper for you. They did a great job fixing mine, for a tenth of the price dell was charging.

Yes, it's a Dell Inspiron. But dunno if I'm going to get it fixed; my parents are going to buy me a new computer this summer anyway. I really only need it to start up once more so I can get everything important off it. :p
